The only persons who’d get creamed by Obama are Romney and Gingrich. Gingrich trails Obama by 15 points whereas Santorum is behind by just two points in USA-Gallup.

Gingrich bemoans negative ads, calls Romney’s ads lies, and yet becomes the spoiler by dividing the conservative vote and handing Romney two major and decisive wins in MI and possibly in OK. Gingrich’s negatives are sky-high and is running third or dead last in the other contests.

Santorum?? Polls closed on 46 minutes ago

East of Crossville yes at 8:00pm EST. West of Crossville still open I think till 8:00 PM CST. I live north of Knoxville. The only yard signs I've seen were for Santorum and just a couple for Paul. Glad to see Gov Haslam's political machine didn't influence this one. Haslam endorsed Romney.

“Permanent moon-based colonies within eight years” and pie-in-the-sky $2.50 gas/gallon regardless of world energy markets is neither a credible nor a winning formula. Santorum connects with the rust-belt states and can haul in the critical Reagan Democrats.

I just now saw that he and Mittens are TIED in Ohio. They’ll have to do some fast cheating of vote counting to make sure MR wins that state, right? Would LOVE to see Santorum defeat him there.

Florida is different than the rest of the South. We have a ton of Northeast transplants, and many members of the Free Shit Army.

25% Santorums pulling a little farther ahead. About 39% to 36% now.

Hope it holds.

I disagree. Both Gingrich and Santorum have been trying to keep a moderate from getting the nomination, thwarting him and tying him up where possible.

It is Paul who has been the spoiler.

Working Women. This is a key demographic that Romney leads Santorum followed by a deficit of 11 points, and Gingrich is well way behind by 31 points and is one major reason why Gingrich can neither win the nomination nor the presidency.

Gingrich was the big spoiler in MI where Santorum lost by just three points. Besides the notion of “permanent moon-based colonies” and pie-in-the-sky $2.50 gas/gallon regardless of world energy markets or geopolitical conditions is simply risible and won’t play well with voters. Note, that Gingrich couldn’t even get the 50% threshold in home-state GA.

If Santorum loses OH, we can attribute this to a divided conservative vote. The big city areas in OH have not yet been counted. Karl Rove thinks that when these county results come in, Romney will have won OH. He (unfortunately) may just be right.

Working women:
Category Gingrich Paul Romney Santorum % Total
Working women 13 9 44 33 21
All others 14 10 36 39 79

“Santorum appears on the primary ballot, but he does not have any delegates in Tennessee. He can win the popular vote, but he has no delegates.”

OK. Tell me more. How are delegates selected in TN? Do you know who does have delegates in TN? Surely TN’s delegates will go to Tampa commited to vote for SOMEBODY on at least the first ballot? Who will they vote for? Noene of them will vote for Santorum on the first ballot even though a majority of TN voters expressed preference for Santorum?

In short, Gingrich has been a major spoiler enabling Romney to capture the nomination. Gingrich is a good man, he needs to bow out in dignity and do so immediately. This is the reality that many don’t want to or refuse to face.

He did step aside in Michigan, but Santorum couldn't close the deal. Unfortunately, Mitt's money and the combined MSM and conservative media is too much for either of these guys to get around. It stinks to high heaven, but after Florida and then Michigan, Romney wins by overwhelming force.

I pray that whoever the President is that he uses the great talents in the GOP, Newt, Sarah, Rick Perry, Rick Santorum, Cain, Bachman, and more. These are people who can make America great again.

That makes no difference, it would only mean something if there was a floor fight and that is not going to happen.

Romney won’t. Romney is a liberal.

He’ll probably spend time in every speech talking about good a guy Barack Obama is.

You are so correct. Romney needs to thank Gingrich more than anyone or anything else if he clinches the nomination. He could have been finished off in MI but Gingrich pulled a paltry 7% in MI and tipped this over to Romney. Unfortunately, the same may occur in OH where Gingrich is pulling a small 15% in a close race that is currently with a 3 point-4 point spread.

Gingrich is guided by sheer Napoleonic oversize ego and isn’t willing to see the writing on the wall. He loses the female vote by a humongous margin and trails working women by 31 points against Romney.
