Rick Santorum won the primary in Tennessee while Mitt Romney rolled to primary victories in Virginia, Vermont and home-state Massachusetts on Super Tuesday, reaching for a decisive advantage over his persistent rivals in the most turbulent race for the Republican presidential nomination in a generation.
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich countered with a home-field win in Georgia as the GOP contenders vied for the chance to take on Democratic President Barack Obama in November.

Tennessee | 58 delegates
Candidates Votes Percent
Santorum 45,794 44.1
Romney 29,549 28.5
Gingrich 18,299 17.6
Paul 7,516 7.2
So Gingrich has gotten Georgia and Tennesee,
Great!
Still getting used to this internet stuff.
Your conclusion is right, tho.
Unfortunately a poor showing in Tennessee for Newt. I’m disappointed. I don’t know what the hell is going on down here, but first we elect a freakin’ Rino Gov. Haslem [actually, his daddy bought the election for him], then more people here vote for Mittens than for Newt. Pretty sad.
Go Rick!
Sorry, I lost my ability to comprehend.
I was thinking of Rick Perry when I posted my original post.
Santorum has no pledged delegates in Tennessee.
I heard Rick wins TN
Perry??
Ain’t too bright in TN?
Not sure how they’re calling the election for Santorum. Polls closed at 8 p.m., but if you’re still in line at 8 you are still allowed to vote. Knox County was still voting past 8 p.m. Santorum had no delegates. Most he can win is the popular vote. I’m at a loss as to explain why the MSM is calling it for Santorum here. Newt had delegates, as did Romney and Paul, but Santorum has NO DELEGATES. Not sure what will happen next. I believe the delegates must vote for whoever they committed to regardless, i.e., Gingrich, Romney, and Paul. No committed delegate from TN has ever voted for another candidate other than the one they were committed to. There were 3 on the ballot that were uncommitted.
As I said, my ability to comprehend failed at that moment completely.
So you are saying Tennesee is a blue state?
Then why didn’t Romney win it?
Congratulations Rick Santorum!
What a showing! Destroyed Romney in TN. :D
As of 8:34 p.m. only 1% of the vote in TN has been counted. How can they project a winner from that sampling?
RE: So Gingrich has gotten Georgia and Tennesee,
Did you read the title of this thread at all?
friggin piss ants moving south and then want their new state to look like the hell hole they left.
Maybe it’;s time to build wall on the Potomac and stop them bringing their ignorant pro homo, pro cross dressing, pro anything to have sex with voting ways with them
