Gingrich must endorse Santorum
http://www.freerepublic.com ^ | 6 March 2012 | impimp

I have advocated Gingrich staying in until sometime in March. I felt the vote splitting would help prevent Romney from locking up a sufficient number of bound delegates to take the nomination. The plan did a good job so far, but not a great job.

I think now the mathematics is shifting such that Gingrich needs to bow out. The reasons for the shift are:

1. winner-take-alls coming up soon - vote splitting begins to really hurt us in these primaries 2. we need money consolidating behind Santorum. 3. Santorum made the Indiana ballot after all

But now Gingrich needs to bow out.

“Asked about Rick Santorum’s contention that Gingrich is dividing the conservative, anti-Romney vote, Sarah Palin dismissed the complaint. “Oh, boo-hoo,” she said.

Ahahaha she’s great!

If Newt can’t even take 2nd place outside of his own state, then he has no business staying in. I am sure Rick can find a Cabinet position to offer him.

I'm afraid that's the case. I hoped Newt would do better in the south, but it is not to be. I predict he will drop out this week.

You really need an education on the difference between primaries and caucuses and what each says about electability. But I don’t have my kindergarten teaching certificate.

RCP’s showing Rinomney +1,837 (+0.2%) with 85% counted. Still very close, but Romney’s been gaining steadily so who knows. :(

With supporters like we have seen here, how does it matter if Newt only got 15%? They will make him to believe that he’s the chosen one and entitled to the nomination. Primary results be darned!

YES! YES! YES! Every delegate kept out of the Romney columns speaks to the socialists running the Republican party that, WE ARE DONE!

Thank you for bringing your point home, my friend.

1000 votes separate Myth and Rick, and upward to 3000 shortly. A caucus state.

“NUTS!

I haven’t read the replies yet, but I’m here to tell you to go to hell with your fracking idea.”

You sound like a liberal opposed to fracking. Do you want us all to buy Chevy volts too just like the Dems?

Thanks for the count!

So it appears that even if you add Santorum’s and Newt’s delegates together they add to 198...still less than Myth. that leads me to think that neither Newt nor Rick are “hurting each other” and splitting the vote. I don’t know how many are committed delegates.

It looks like there is a difference of 44 delegates between them. No big deal. The popular vote doesn’t count in the general. So if both men have the stamina and funds to stay in, I think that is great. Maybe the rest of the country would like to have a chance to vote.

And may I add...Go Newt!!

You HAVE to be kidding! OMG! Hilarious! And I am notorious for not being a Sarah fan! THAT is the coolest thing I ever heard her say, and the timing is PRICELESS! She may get me in yet!

She may be seasoning up by gosh.

THANK YOU so much for telling me that!

Rinomney had pulled out to almost +6,000, but Santo’s started closing THAT gap, now down to Santo -3,800 with 89% counted.

If Gingrich doesn’t improve and stays in the race when we shift to “Winner take all” States, he deserves a spot on the Romney ticket.

“We are not kowtowing at present.
Deal with it.”

You don’t need to kow-tow for it to be over, and it’s over for Newt.

Deal with reality.

Did you just hear King say that perusing the remaining counties he doesn’t find a win for Rick?

Is Rick for Obama/RomneyCare?

He was in 2008 when he wasn't running but campaigning for Mitt trying to convince voters romney's the man. What change? Oh yes, he's running now.

The man lies to suit his own agenda and anyone voting for him are drawn in by lies. It says a lot about them, also. I'll never reward a liar!

He can try his scam on those who can be scammed.
