Votera are not very smart this year. They’re one issue social conservative voters when in fact, they’re ignoring the most pressing issue of Commander-in-Chief and that Newt Gingrich is also 100% pro-life.

My states votes next Tuesday and I’m going to see Newt Gingrich in Jackson, Mississippi on Thursday. Until the returns tonight, I was certain he’d win my state, but now I’m not sure at all. This primary seems “poll driven.”

What a shame and perhaps, our best opportunity lost for a great leader.

Romney has ruined what should have been positive campaigns by all of our candidates about ideas and real solutions.

I’ll never vote for him.

I thought the Ohio River Counties were more conservative that the University of Miami county (SW Ohio)? I am confused.

Newt’s not going to step aside....he’s not done by far and you’ll see this go to convention now. I agree that Newt won't quit - and more power too him! But if you look at the delegate count and the upcoming primaries (and especialyy the rules per state) - this baby is all but over. ;^(

Watch out...the “toe the party line” folks will be here soon to tell you to “hold your nose and vote” for Romney because he’s 1% better than Obammy.

I think that's unlikely to happen here on Free Republic. I'm sure onyx can shed more light on things but this has always been a Conservative site as opposed to a Republican site where there's never been an adherence to a party line. Is that right, onyx?

Newt Gingrich is the preferred choice of the boss who has stated "No Romney, no way!"

If you think that, you haven’t been paying attention to how they crop up on numerous other primary threads. “hold your nose and vote cuz of SCOTUS!!!” is a primary refrain of the morons.

P.S. - sorry about my poor typing - editing.

Scott Rasmussen basically said the cruncher is looking like to quality of organizations (like not making the ballot in VA. or not having delegates assigned in Ohio or upcoming Illinois).

Mitt simply has been running for longer and has the Org.

Mormons are organized and effective.

“Yeth! Yeth! YETHHHHHHHH!”

At any rate, that is what the headline -should- be from the little log cabin on Brokeback Beltway.

GOOD. I’m so sorry Illinois is such a mess. Prime Minister Netanyahu gave a nice shout out and message to Senator Kirk last night during his speech at AIPAC.

Sarah Palin voted for Newt Gingrich tonight and announced it on Fox Business News. When she heard that Rick Santorum was whining about Newt Gingrich still being in the race, she said, “Boo-Hoo”....LOL.

The second best news I heard tonight is Dennis Kusinich lost and Joe the Plumber won to face the horrid woman that ousted Dennis.

LOL.

You and me both...it always feels like you have to post just to set the story straight.....some did the same thing with Palin...always posting negative articles..and that use to get my goat alot.

But yea...the less I see of Romney stuff the better I like it especially when it’s questionable if or not it’s placed to indirectly support him.

Those Romneybots deserve the zot without question.

I've found that the "Abuse" button is effective in such cases. While I can't say for certain that my action has led directly to a zot, I have seen posts pulled for those advocating Romney here in the no-Mitt, no-way zone that is FR.

There’s been more than meets the eye happening throughout this primary...it’s not over til it’s over and it’s not over. Watch and see...God still can part the red sea.

You are correct. He will pick a pale imitation of a conservative as a running mate in a pale imitation of McCain’s losing formula. If he does -not- get the nomination, he will pull out all stops to sabotage whoever does get it. He is poison, and he has and will continue to blight this cycle.

I am ready for the GOP to die. It cannot be repaired, it can only be shunted aside. I predict its death begins November 3, 2012.

Oh, absolutely. However, I'm not on often enough anymore to report much of anything. Probably better for my blood pressure that way anyway. I will say that being on very little during an election season is actually a good move, especially on an election night. I didn't get on tonight until relatively late to avoid all the people trying to call the race with 14% of the vote counted.
