She will be carefully prosecuted in order that her client list never is made public. She may even have been arrested because she was using the list for some type of leverage. Watergate had a similar origin.

I more or less agree with you with respect to a straight-forward prostitution charge. The high-powered johns routinely get off (no pun intended) and the woman who serviced them goes to jail.
However, allegations also have been swirling concerning underage girls, police corruption, money laundering and tax evasion none of which should be ignored if substantiated.
The accused madam is more than free to cooperate with authorities if she believes others also should be held accountable, and if prosecutors choose to ignore the johns based upon her statements then perhaps she could raise an equal protection defense.
Our poor East European hookers will be out of work!
These prosecutions usually stem from bank to tax return comparison audits.
Some of the customers are in law enforcement or are using the threat of arrest for “special” treatment. So they dare not make this about pandering.
She looks like a frump and her house up in Monroe County was middling. I wonder when she was planning to do something with her money.

I'd argue her skill-set and work hours are roughly comparable to those jobs, so it's interesting to think about how "efficient" the market is. :)

unfortunately the main goal of the prosecutor and judge in cases like this is to shield their masters from any and all embarassment by locking up the accomplice’s and co-conspirators to guarantee their silence. Any help offered to find her co-conspirators accountable will be laughed at by all. They are after all The Ruling Class.

At the end of the day you’ll probably be right; these cases do seem to sort out that way.
If I were her defense attorney I still would make the equal protection argument that she’s being unconstitutionally targeted relative to others with culpability. I don’t know if she ultimately would be successful with that although I think it’s worth making some noise.
Maybe this case will be different. The case is being brought by the DA’s public corruption unit, and some sources have stated “top law enforcement” — whatever that is — were among the clients.
Yep, I remember when Heidi Fleiss tried that argument, she was out in 2-3 years, she lived across the street from a friend of mine.

Well, that’s still usually cheaper than dating those high maintenance babes and definitely cheaper than giving one a house and stipend. They’re usually damaged and jaded from having men do anything to sleep with them. These girls are less than 1%, even in NYC.
Guys that “date” these 1% girls will give them $500 dinners with $500-2000 champagne, trips on private jets and sometimes even cars and houses. Most don’t care about the girl’s personality. Some even end up marrying them, getting divorced and financing them for life. I think those guys are truly the fools.
I always tell guys just looking for sex with magazine babes that they’re better off just paying for it directly. No BS, usually better sex and they always stay the same age. You get what you want for a price you agree upon. I don’t see anything foolish if that’s what one wants.
If you’re looking for something more, it is most likely not going to come from a girl with looks in the 1%. Especially if you met in a public place.

For myself - I would rather wait for an average looking woman my own age to WANT to have sex with me - than pay a great looking young woman to pretend to want to have sex with me.
And that is just the sexual aspect. Sex with a happily enthusiastic partner is almost transcendent, well beyond what can be reduced to a commercial transaction.
Add to that the companionship friendship and partnership of a smart productive and involved active woman; and paying for sex seems very sad and lonely.

For many men, it can be. These high-end girls aren’t just paid for their looks and to lie there. They are the best at what they do. Many are good actresses and have college degrees. It’s called “the girlfriend experience” and their job is to give such a good experience that one forgets about money (or nearly everything else). Think about it, many women fake who they are or fake being in love for decades just for money. I think being paid to act as someone’s girlfriend for a few hours is more respectable.
They are the best at what they do, and what they do is usually geriatric old men.
Give me an enthusiastic but less experienced partner who is there for her own amusement - rather than attempting to “act”.
The old sugar daddy routine is old hat. These days most men are looking for a woman who will be an intellectual and economic equal, not a woman who is there solely for her own economic benefit - and/or as her only means of support.
