Where's the Outrage? ABC Premieres Show Called "GCB" (Good Christian Bitches)

RUSH: By the way, ladies and gentlemen, are you aware...? If you're not aware, I want to make you aware. ABC Television, Disney, premiered a new drama on Sunday night. It is called GCB. Do you know what it is? Have you heard of this? Dawn, have you heard of GCB? Brian? Eh, never mind. Do you know what it stands for? This is Disney. This is ABC. "GCB" stands for "Good Christian Bitches." It's a TV show based on a book by the name "Good Christian Bitches." Now, ABC didn't want to make the title of the show that, so they just abbreviated: GCB. There has not been a peep about this.

No outrage. No concern. And of course you can imagine what it's about. It's about hypocritical Christian women. They sing in the church choir, and then do all this horrible, rotten stuff outside of church. (interruption) No, Snerdley, not just sexual stuff. I mean, they undermine each other and such. It's Good Christian Bitches. Sunday nights, I think it's at ten o'clock, on ABC. Folks, we live in a world of intolerance masquerading as tolerance and slime disguised as sophistication, and that's what the left has given us. Slime disguised as sophistication. This is not Walt Disney's Disney anymore. Walt Disney, back in his day, was a conservative right-wing guy. He really was.

I think the name is stupid but I actually found the show funny. I guess since I am a Christian woman in Dallas I could see the absurdity of it and was not in the least worried that it actually reflected me or any of my fellow GCB’s. I agree, we will never see Good Muslim Bitches.

This will appeal to the Bill Maher crowd and the Glee crowd. So it won’t last too long.

Hmmmm..?? It wasn’t just the left that badgered the advertizers of Rush’s show - it was the conservatives who got off their blessed assurance and made the advertizers miserable for cancelling Rush.

According to what I heard - the conservatives cancelled orders and even returned merchandise - along with thousands of phone calls.

ABC - it is what it is .. but the advertizers need to hear from the CHRISTIANS.

However, you’re forgetting a lot of people who watch TV - ARE NOT CHRISTIANS - and this farce agrees with the left’s talking points about Christians.

One problem; If ABC is boycotted, how will they be able to tell?

In 1973 David Wilkerson wrote “The Vision”, where he predicted the networks would inject Christianity into sitcoms. They would be funny at first, and then turn vicious. Persecution will begin in the press, just like it did in Communist Russia.

Actually, i remember reading a while back that the History Channel was also trying to do just that! But the tongue of such is set on fire by Hell.

Tell them that the FCC needs to shut down this show. Tell them why our "public" airwaves should not be used to slander Christians. Hopefully a class-action lawsuit will be filed against ABC. In the meantime contact any GCB sponsor and tell them why you're telling people not to buy their products/services. Pray that ABC has a change in management where the NEW brass are Christians and respect the Christian faith and people.

How about letting the free market decide rather than trying to get the government to throw it's weight around?

Do you really want some FCC administrator deciding what images of Christians can and cannot be portrayed on TV? Have you ever stopped to think who is in the White House and who is over the FCC? Do you really want to go down that road with somebody like Obama in the White House?
