It wasn't pretty and it wasn't easy, but Mitt Romney has essentially locked up the GOP nomination.
On Super Tuesday, the former Massachusetts governor won the most states (six out of 10), the most votes (nearly 1.4 million vs. 819,000 for his closest rival, Rick Santorum) and the most delegates (more than 210 Super Tuesday delegates vs. less than 180 for his three rivals).

Let’s say they’re right.
BARRY SOROS *VS* ROMNEY
By some Freepers calculations today Mitt has to win approximately 64% of the remaining delegates. Lock? I think not.
I was going to say, don’t these imbeciles realize Romney’s too damaged to be the nominee but then they know that, don’t they?
The whole media gig is to get Romney so their idol/Obama can win. But back to the imbeciles, don’t the GOPe see what’s happened or are they in on it too.
As if they didn’t have that headline in the file for the past 3 years.
“Lets say theyre right.
Third party or no vote in that race for me.
The problem is that in the close races, the table seems to magically get tilted in Romney’s favor at the last minute. (in Michigan after the fact)
We vote for Romney, just as we have been told all along we will do. Abandon all hope. It’s over. /s
Invest in lead.
We support Romney if that’s what we have to do. He may be a moderate but he’s not a radical, muslim, Kenyan, marxist.
A Romney nomination is a perfect opportunity to destroy the Republican Joke of a Party once and for all. It is very tempting target. In fours a new party will emerge and kick the dems butt in '16.
Thank you for your statement.
In fours= In four years
If they are right, then say ‘Hello’ to 4 more years.
No lock. Not even close to a lock yet.
Also, I call your attention to Team Romney’s public challenge today that God is the only one Who can stop his nomination.
So, let’s see what He does.
Ya think? He read his victory speech off the teleprompter last night. It would make an amusing debate, since neither Obama or plastic man can think without a piece of glass scrolling the words off in front of them.
Yes, that. But it’s not my First Line of defense. That would be Someone Else.
“but Mitt Romney has essentially locked up the GOP nomination.”
The red-nose clowns at CNN have been saying that since before the primaries started.
So it is Establishment/Socialist vs. Establishment-lite/Socialist-lite. This is pretty rotten. IMHO, Herman Cain would have given Hussein a good run for the money. Also IMHO, Romney was behind Herman getting run out of the race which really p!$$es me off to this day !
The smiling writer of the article seems oblivious that a whole lot can happen in one day. How much more could happen in several months that might affect, well, everything?
The Romney camp thanks Gingrich for this as reported by respected newsreporter Carl Cameron on FoxNews yesterday. Gingrich has become an enabler of allowing Romney to split the conservative vote and sneak through the breach in WA, AZ, MI, and now OH. Gingrich’s “southern strategy” is in flames finishing third and fourth in all the recent contests including neighboring OK and TN. He’s toast except to his die-hard followers but unfortunately the damage is already done. Gigrich failed to even get the 50% vote threshold in his home state of GA having spent a ton of money by his camapaign and super pac guru, Adelson, the casino mogul. Now, its game over and yes its anybody but Obama.
Vote yes on no.
You’re right; this thread really is redundant.
God, I hope so. As much as I hate Romney, we have to get rid of the half wit occupier.
Gingrich alone? Not Paul? Not Santorium? Wow.
Well, try this one on: The Conservative wing of the Republican Party is much larger than Romney supporters or the leftist buffoon Press will say, even though the percentages are right there for everyone in America to see.
Game not over. Just watch.

Maybe ‘WE’ can bail out those 5(?) Super Hackers in time for the BO/MYTH debate so they can hack/jam both their computers/monitors.
They would both be standing there ering and ahing, truly showing their combined intelligence, or at least there inability to think on their feet and come up with responses that made a whit of sense.
The only loser in this scenario is US, but I do not believe we can withstand 4 more years of BO and his cronies.
You don't get it. We withhold support, let Romney lose, killing the RInO party forever.
Yes, that tilting toward MR seems to happen a lot.
You don’t get it. We can’t afford 4 more years of zero. I would vote for donald duck before Obama. Fl. Voting is passed, and I voted for Newt.
Well, one big difference between them is that Obama views us as subjects which he can command with policy and Romney views us as employees that he can command with policy...
wait a min.... thats not such a difference after all.....
“There is no proof that Mr. Newt is unelectable.”
Well the proof is his unbridgeable gender gap with women and particularly working women, his un-favorability ratings are sky high, he lost every key demographic in must-win Florida, ends up being last or near last in all the recent contests, came a distant third or fourth in TN and OK, and trails Obama by 15 points in USA-Gallup, whereas Santorum (and Romney as well) are behind by one a couple of points, and you think the un-telegenic Gingrich can win the primary contest and go onto beat Obama saddled with support for his Pelosi alliance on cap and trade and $1.6m Fannie Mae albatross around his neck that was part of the mortgage crisis?
We think he should put country first and withdraw rather than enabling Romney to clinch the nomination.
There is no proof that Mr. Newt is unelectable.
I am not the one who made this statement. Perhaps you intended this for another poster.
Oh, I’m sorry.
Would ask; how stupid can we be. . .but why ask 'how stupid'?

The circle they just closed is in their minds; in fact, pundits like this one seemingly are never correct in their predictions. But they continue to be published and get airtime nonetheless.
Very few such contributors seem to place much value at all in their words or remember the many times they were in error.
We don't need to settle on a Romney. I will not "light my hair on fire" and vote for him. Actually he doesn't want my vote anyway, he has made that crystal clear.
Obama may be a tool to rid the world of the GOP-Whig Party. Worried? I'm not.
