Today, President Obama made a trip to a manufacturing plant for Daimler Trucks North America in Mount Holly, North Carolina. He was in the Tar Heel state to discuss more ways his administration is taking an all-of-the-above approach to American energy.
He talked about how his administration is pursuing new domestic energy sources, expanding oil and gas production, and reducing our overall reliance on oil through development of renewable energy.
But at a place where workers are busy assembling trucks that run on natural gas, the President also announced a new $1 billion National Community Deployment Challenge to help boost the deployment of clean, advanced vehicles all over America:
To cities and towns all across the country, what we’re going to say is, if you make a commitment to buy more advanced vehicles for your community -- whether they run on electricity or biofuels or natural gas -- we’ll help you cut through the red tape and build fueling stations nearby. And we’ll offer tax breaks to families that buy these cars, companies that buy alternative fuel trucks like the ones that are made right here at Mount Holly. So we’re going to give communities across the country more of an incentive to make the shift to more energy-efficient cars.

Just more of your hard earned tax dollars being flushed down 0bama’s rat hole. This guy lives in a dream world where whatever he envisions, we must pay for.

So natural gas do you have to drill for that and if so how much cheaper is it that regular gas would be more like going to a regular gas station? And if this is such a great idea why has it not been tried before
Congress spent a year bickering over saving a few hundred million spread out over 10 years.
Now Obama walks in and announces another $1 billion dollar give-away.
Constitutionally, Congress controls the spending.
So how does this idiot just get to decide he will blow another billion that we have to borrow?
They arrest people for stealing a loaf of bread while this criminal steals millions every day.
Nothing but pandering! This guy is spending money for votes. Been saving all the stimulis money that wasn’t spent on shovel ready jobs to begin with and now letting it out in areas that he needs to get votes. If you drive thru Florida right now it seems that every darn road is ripped up and all this work started this year. Knew this was coming, just is so irritating to watch.

I love share some stories with my auto gnomes as to the efforts they go through to eek a 1/10th here 2/10th their when they design and test a new car...
But Obama wouldn't get it, The Utopians have no grasp of Science and the Laws therein, they can be overcome by Marxist Dictate, in their delusion existence.

The community organizer has no ideas beyond giving money we don’t have to people who don’t like him - in return for their votes. I hope and pray that America will be rid of him in ten months, and that we will have learned our lesson.
If I could invent a car that ran on bull*hit this president could provide a lifetime supply !
Our leaders are way beyond broke. We need an a serious intervention involving pitchforks, hot tar and feathers. Muskets and pistoles if necessary.
