Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson says marijuana should be legalized and treated like alcohol because the government's war on drugs has failed.

Even Pat Robertson can see that - who can't at this point?

It took a bout of senility for Robertson to come out with this. Frankly, anyone who thinks legalizing drugs would be good for society isn't playing with a full deck. As if the rot in our culture isn't pervasive enough, we want to make it even worse by taking the drug culture mainstream.

Ask yourself this. If the country has a liberal-tarian brain infarction and legalizes drugs, what's to keep the big recreational drug companies that spring up from advertising their products everywhere? Answer: Nothing. There will be big *legal* money involved and the drug purveyors will get whatever they want.

The day that happens is the day I start looking to emigrate.

if we had a responsible human race, everything should be legal....but we don't...

we have perverts attacking women when they can get any fix they want for money or over the internet....yet women are raped....

we have people who can get prescribed narcotics and then demand more....demand to smoke the stuff.....

humans are not reliable....humans are weak and some are evil....

legalize pot...but we'll have just as many people in jail...

alcohol is always blamed by libertarians for all the car accidents, but the dirty little secret is many people who use alcohol also are using weed or other drugs, however those are not usually tested for....
