At first glance, the U.S. job market seems to be moving in the right direction, although at a crawl. When you take a closer look, some of the data showing improving conditions for job-seekers may be too good to be true.
The latest signs of improvement came Wednesday from a report by payrolls processor ADP, which showed the pace of job creation by U.S. private employers accelerated more than expected in February. Separate reports from the government showed wages rose much faster than initially thought in the fourth-quarter as worker productivity continued to inch higher.

LOL- i guess the BS coming from the White House is getting to much for even MSNBC to take....they’re now using Gallup’s numbers rather than the BLS numbers....
We are living in Hugo Chavezville.
Gallup has unemployment increasing to 9.1%.
Never in the history of Gallup has their number been so much higher than the actual Labor stat.
The GOP needs to start up an investigation.
Why would republicans investigate? I'm sure that Romney, McCain, Murkowski, Snowe, and Collins are all satisfied with the numbers approved by our White House.
It’s a sad fact that your probably correct. Whatever keeps the ruling class in power is alright by them.
Sad but true. What changes in their life if Obama is elected? Nothing! They get in the same limo, with the same limo driver, invited to the same exclusive parties.
Any relation to Doug Schoen, the Fox News pollster?
That guy may be one of exactly 3 sane Democrats left on the planet.
Don't kid yourself. The b@stards at MSNBC are switching the rules of the game subtly. They expect that Obama is going to get crushed in November. They want to be able to use the more "Pessimistic" employment figures from Gallup to pillory the Republican president. If anybody on our side defends they will say "we've been doing this since the Obama administration." And nobody can say that's wrong, yet they will deflect the argument that they've been carrying the water for Obama's fraudulent economic recovery for 3-plus years.
Obama has a problem that's about to really bite him. When the same people that are unemployed now are unemployed in October, they know things aren't better.
When the people at their current jobs are ready to get another job but can't then they know the jobs aren't there.
Just look at the Sunday Paper “Job's Section” and there are exactly the same number of pages as there was a year ago and most of those “jobs” are full page ads for higher education programs, not really jobs.
Seems to be a similar number of sheriff’s sale notices (foreclosures) in those same paper’s classifieds as there were a year ago as well.
