Alabama Republicans are up to bat next, and right now its a near three-way tie going into next Tuesdays primary.
The first Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Republican Primary Voters in Alabama finds Newt Gingrich barely ahead with 30% support to 29% for Rick Santorum and 28% for Mitt Romney. Texas Congressman Ron Paul trails with seven percent (7%) of the vote. One percent (1%) prefers some other candidate, and six percent (6%) remain undecided. This Alabama survey of 750 Likely Republican Primary Voters was conducted on March 8, 2012 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 4 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology.
Newt will rise again
Seems fishy.
yep... bushie III has just about peaked... newt’s strategy is to campaign where the voters are..... and with the delegate count so close between the two, it would be foolish for him to drop out, or accept a vp slot... let bushie III be the vp ( hey, i’m a poet and don’t know it )
Boy oh boy, I’ll bet Rick right now is wishing there was a way he could differentiate himself from the other two. Imagine if he could run a few commercials with himself in uniform leading his platoon and company. Oh well, too late now...maybe his sons will take note...probably not though.

I am inspired to get 10 friends I know stateside with either calling cards or Skype, to sign up with the Santorum campaign to remote phones to either committed Santorum voters in Alabama, etc. to get them to turn out, or into conservative Democrat voter districts with high unemployment, to get them to turn out that day as "one day Republicans" and vote in our primary for Santorum. The tactic Ron Reagan also did in Mississippi, Alabama, Texas, Ohio and elsewhere in 1980.
“it would be foolish for him to drop out,”
I agree. If he doesn’t gain momentum and delegates over the next month, then he might consider it.
YOU’RE WELCOME.
This is a good thing.
Needs to get even better.
But it has been said that it couldn’t happen at all.
Well, I don’t know where Romney has 28% of Alabama folks going to vote for him. I know of NO ONE who is going to vote for him. I have heard NO ONE say they liked him. I have heard NO ONE even mention his name. There are NO signs anywhere around here for him. The ONLY signs I have seen are for crazy Paul!!! I cannot tell you where those 28% are hiding. They certainly are not hiding around here. I will be very interested to see the vote break down next week. I can only figure his votes are coming from the bigger cities like Huntsville, Birmingham, Montgomery, Mobile, Tuscaloosa, etc. Not out here in the real world he ain’t getting any votes that I am aware of.
If you look at Romney’s wins his base support come from the cities.
In the deep south I’m not believing Romney is going to do that well. Hopefully the big GA win means Newt is surging and Santorum fading. If Newt is surging then by Tues he should be several points ahead. Let us pray.
OK FRiends of NEWT! All hands on deck!
It is EASY-PEASY to make phone calls from home. Use this link, sign up and then start dialing.

They give you a great script, no worries. Call now in Alabama, Mississippi and Kansas. Let’s get out the vote for NEWT!
Again, the RINO only 3 points from ‘stealing’ a primary from the majority of conservatives.
Newt - Rick, one of you guys get the heck out NOW! This election is NOT ABOUT YOU - it’s about ALL OF US!
Yup, I agree. :-)
The Alabama surge continues.
“Well, I dont know where Romney has 28% of Alabama folks going to vote for him.”
Stikes me as odd as well. Must be a whole bunch of “closet Mormons” in Alabama. That is scary.
C’MON NEWT!!!!!!!!!!! LET THE SOUTH RISE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!
I can’t even get my pro-Newt family members to go vote in the caucus on Sat. They all have better things to do and say Romney is a done deal. They are all FNC viewers so their tactic of declaring Romney inevitable is working.
