Newt puts country first by staying in this race.

As of today Newt still leads him in committed delegates, Santorum was unable to win despite double-digit polling leads in Ohio or Michigan, in Ohio Santorum lost delegates voters won for him because of shoddy campaign problems and we know he will have the same problems in Illinois and elsewhere. That campaign hit a peak and stumbled.

Newt is a candidate about ideas and those ideas, the framing of issues, the dismantling of media talking-points are things everyone needs to hear especially the eventual nominee and his possible running mate. Palin is right: the nominee benefits from the tough race.

It may be neither Santorum or Newt can catch Romney who has more delegates than all his opponents combined now. It's too late to "unify" behind a non-Romney. That opportunity probably sailed with FL and certainly with MI & OH.

Some Newt supporters would break for Romney and some Santorum supporters would do the same. The aim is to keep Romney from winning the necessary delegates and take the fight to Tampa.

they will suicide bomb us into getting Romney as the nominee.

Gosh, you sound like Joe "Tea Party Terrorists" Biden.

Check the other MS poll out today and Newt is on top. Despite the Santorum sycophant' fondest wishes, Newt's still ahead of Santorum in committed delegates.

What good does it do Santorum to "win" where he can't collect all the delegates voter's granted him? What good does it do Santorum to be unable to convert a 10-point polling lead into a major win? Don't pretend his campaign is a well-oiled machine.

The fact is, Romney has more delegates than all others combined. The best hope left is for each of the non-Romney candidates to play to their strengths and keep Romney's total count below the magic number and force this to go to convention.

Once again, I notice it isn't Santorum's fault. Now the theme is "blame Newt."
