So 40% of Georgetown coeds paying $60K/yr are having a hard time paying $9/mo for BC pills? Perhaps they should teach some personal finance classes there?

Pray for America

I bet you she has a cell phone, internet, cable tv, computer, car, etc etc etc When I was in college I had NONE of that! I would think she could go and mow lawns, wash windows, wait tables.... like we all did.

I searched for “Free Condoms Washington DC” and found 160 places to get them just from the Department of Health!

http://doh.dc.gov/doh/cwp/view,a,1371,q,603907.asp

I’m sure there are plenty of other places to get them too.

$9/mo for BC pills AND free condoms on every block... I could write pages on what’s wrong with this story, but I’m most interested in the politics behind the “$3000 a year to have safe sex” idea. Clearly you can have safe sex for free thanks to the DOH. And BC pills for $100 a year to boot. The people behind this political grandstanding need a comeuppance - this story is a symbol for waste and inefficiency in the health care system.
