1. Karl Christian Rove was born on Christmas Day 1950 in Denver. His family moved a lot until settling in Salt Lake City. Rove's parents divorced when his stepfather, whom he considered his father, came out as gay. Rove would meet his biological father 20 years later.

Also his second wife that he divorced (Darby Rove) was a breast cancer survivor.

Might provide some background on the roots of his ugly misogyny and as well as his support for Romney...

6. Rove’s first marriage—to a Houston socialite—ended in divorce a year after they were married. Rove remarried in 1986 to Darby Hickson, and they have one son, Andrew. Darby Rove is a breast cancer survivor.

And what is the purpose of revealing this now?

I take it the rank-and-file conservative is supposed to either ‘understand’ Rove’s behavior now (resulting in diminished resistance to the GOPe), or find him even more repulsive than he already is, thereby triggering an all out war within the Republican Party.

Which is it US snooze?

The internal war is a given. The only question is when it comes out into the open.

Karl Rove is the political genius behind compassionate conservatism. For that sin, he should live in sackcloth and ashes on an inhabited Mediterranean island and never be heard from again.

I didn’t know the part about him being raised by a gay stepfather before, nor that his 2nd ex Darby was a breast cancer survivor.

A wonderfully objective report:

“Rove has been involved in the latest White House scandals—the leaking of CIA covert agent Valerie Plame’s name to the press and the firing of seven U.S. attorneys.”

Richard Armitage leaked Valerie Plame (to the extent that it was a leak at all), and when Bill Clinton fired *all* the sitting US attorneys, somehow that wasn’t a scandal.

I’ve got no special fondness for Rove, but the accusation above is a load of manure.

Its true Rove is manipulating a penis but I had hoped it was his own..
The thought of him flagellating someone else’s is a disturbing concept..

Once you think that its hard to unthink it..

Oh, I see what his problem is, he’s been trying to prove himself worthy of the right social set ever since his little trophy deb ticket to the bigtime dumped him way back when. Absolutely groveling. He never did make it though, he was just tolerated so long as he made himself useful.

I think he secretly hates brown people, myself. And it’s deeply internalized, that’s why he threw such a hissy over conservatives protesting illegal immigration. His aspirational group approved, those shining Rinos on a hill, so he dutifully marched in lock step, but it was eating away at him all along.

That explains the weird, self-defeating and inappropriate responses and going on the attack, he was projecting.

It does provide insight into Rove’s deep-seeded anger issues, his harsh misogyny and his affinity with homosexuals in the RNC and GOP-e.

Duffy also challenged Ata’s testimony regarding what Rezko told him about Karl Rove and an Illinois GOP operative, Robert Kjellander, plotting to replace Chicago U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald. Duffy asked Ata, “you believe Tony Rezko could actually influence President Bush?” Ata, replied, “No.” Duffy followed by saying, “Well, the president chooses the U.S. attorney, right?” Ata replied, “Yes.”

“So you’re suggesting that Mr. Rezko had the influence and power to influence the president?” Ata replied, “Tony Rezko informed me that Bob Kjellander was working with Karl Rove to change the U.S. attorney in Chicago.” Karl Rove’s attorney denies this claim

The 11th thing I did not know is why the eff' we are worried about a pissant like Rove right now?

I am far more worried about Iran, Israel, a communist marxist in the White Hut, George Soros pulling the strings, the media being complicit in the demise of our country, a planted "Slut" at Columbia trying to ruin Rush's life, and a thousand other US ending issues...but hey, let's vet a pundit. Why not....I'm bored with planning to live without money and freedom.

Stop the side shows...Rove is an idiot, yet has become non-consequential. That is, if we let him stay that way.

Ashcroft the Pure threw down for Romney this week. They are about GOP-e and getting that gov’t money, in my opinion. It is going to take more than ousting the democrats, we need to clean our house, too. Crooks and globalist on both sides.

I can’t believe this appeared in US New & World reports. The writing is abysmal.

Take the first item:

1. Karl Christian Rove was born on Christmas Day 1950 in Denver. His family moved a lot until settling in Salt Lake City. Rove’s parents divorced when his stepfather, whom he considered his father, came out as gay. Rove would meet his biological father 20 years later.

Was his mother ever married to his father?

His misogyny is somewhat queen-ish.

the electorate rebelled against this idiot and, but for him and bush, obama would never have been elected

It appears that Karl Rove’s mom wasn’t married to his biological father and didn’t even tell Karl about it until late in life. Karl’s gay stepfather’s name was Louis Rove.

Thanks for the clarification, not that it’s any of my business, but it was just a tad confusing.

Oh well, I’m sorry his stepfather was gay (I think that’s the one thing I’d find unforgiveable myself, but then again, why would your gay spouse want to stay with you?), but I hope he was a good dad.

Rove can be quite, quite, annoying and even destructive, but at least he’s not a bum on welfare or in jail, so his parents can take pride in that.
