Feds to stop funding Texas women's health program
Associated Press ^ | March 9, 2012

The federal government will stop funding a Texas health program that serves 130,000 low-income women because of a state law that bars abortion-affiliated clinics from getting public money, a top U.S. health official said Friday.

The federal money, which covers 90 percent of the state's $40 million program, will be phased out between May and September because the law violates federal regulations requiring that women have a choice in medical care, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said during a trip to Houston.

Hit the Feds right back. Texas should fund it with money generated by taxing windmills and solar panels! Those things exist only by way of Federal subsidy anyway.

Milk ‘em like a cow, if they ask for it.

Just think about this:

The Obama regime would rather Texas women go without healthcare than for it to be done according to the values of Texans.

The problem with that is the Feds aren't going to lower taxes on Texans or anyone because a state stops taking "federal" dollars.

This is why Newt plans a "10th amendment" commission, which Perry's agreed to be on, to find ways to return power and control to the states so it can deal delivering services more efficiently to their residents themselves.

From the office the Governor Perry .....

“Your administration’s attempt to violate states’ rights under the 10th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution by mandating which health providers the State of Texas must use is nothing more than an effort to continue to financially support abortion providers like Planned Parenthood and their affiliates,” Gov. Perry wrote to President Obama.”

“The federal government should not be in the business of protecting abortion providers at the expense of the health of Texas women. Texans send a substantial amount of our tax dollars to Washington, D.C., and it is unacceptable that your administration is denying Texas taxpayers the use of those dollars to fund this program simply because of your pro-abortion agenda.”

Perry has always championed states rights.

Newt said that he first became aware of the importance of the 10th amendment only after reading Perry’s book, “Fed Up”.

(Newt wrote the foreward)

Great news! Although it is good news, this should also be used to advantage and poor women should be told that Obama has cut their welfare while spending 10 million dollars for Michelle’s vacations.

Most would never question their “Queen” as long as the get their handouts. As for cutting their benefits, that has yet to happen.

It’s like the Feds have a gun and are saying “Help us kill babies or these mothers get it!”

Of course, but this is a case where their handouts are cut off.

As for cutting their benefits, that has yet to happen.

This point is moot. Just show them the news item and the numbers from the cost of Moochelle's vacations.

Obviously, Obama does not care about the health of pregnant Texas women because he does not want them to receive prenatal care. He is only interested in them aborting their babies.
