Gingrich woos Mississippi voters by drilling Obama

GULFPORT, Miss -- GULFPORT, Miss. - Newt Gingrich ... was more than an hour late Friday because he detoured his campaign bus to film a Mississippi natural gas rig so he could show it to President Barack Obama.

...

"Now I ask all of you ... Where does the president think natural gas comes from? ... It comes from drilling. So we went out today - they're working on it on the bus right now - and made a film of a drilling rig in Mississippi to introduce the president to how they find natural gas."

...

he quoted the Declaration of Independence and explained the personal sovereignty he said is the "heart of America."

"Unalienable rights means no judge, no bureaucrat and no politician can come between you and God,"

-snip-

He chided Obama over recent "algae" comments.

"He's done this three times now...Anyone here remember what that is?"

Many in the crowd responded: "Algae."

-snip-

Gingrich promised to enforce the Constitution, reform government bureaucracy and balance the budget and help "fire anyone in Congress who doesn't get it."

"That's why the Washington establishment opposes me," Gingrich said. "They know I am prepared to change Washington, not appease it."

-snip-

Gingrich was well received by the Gulfport crowd.

...Trehvis Foster, a minister from Gulfport. "I'm against abortion. I share his stance with Israel,...

Foster said he "gets questioned all the time" about being a black and supporting Gingrich.

"African American is one thing, but I'm an American first,"

...

Hewes said. "I like what he stands for and I like that a lot of people up in Washington don't like him."

Angela...

"Oh, my God, it was phenomenal, and phenomenally constitutional and American," she said. "I love (Santorum), too, but Newt, oh, there's just something about Newt.

He’s got a great message, not so great a budget. If he could get himself heard over the Mitt sh*tstorms, he’d have better than half a chance.

I’d love to see him drill Obama with a right hook.

Now that’s the “two-man race” we should all focus on.

GO NEWT GO!

Amen!

One of the other traits about Speaker Gingrich that I find appealing is his constancy. Unlike Obama or Romney, Newt Gingrich is who he is. He doesn't change his vocal inflection as Hillary Clinton or Obama do when before a black crowd. The ham-fisted Romney talks of grits, NASCAR and y'all when before a Southern group -- all of which come off as transparent pandering.

Newt Gingrich remains authentic and on message no matter the venue. He was a terrific Speaker of the House and will make a great President of these United States.

.

Prediction : Mitt's campaign implodes in 6 weeks ...

Newt knows it already ... Santorum isn't experienced enough to see it ...

The GOP E-RINOs know it also ... that Mitt ... their Mormon Celestial-God ... has a limited political half-life ... that MONEY cannot purchase his victory at this point ...

Remember "what's-his-name" ... Texas Gov "Rick Perry" ?

Rick Perry's got an election battle-field suprise ready for Mittens ...

If you recall, Rick Perry was the "only" candidate that questioned Romney's mormonism "not" being Christian ...

That took alot of BXXXXX ...

Texas will be a grudge match for Perry against a Northeast Mass Liberal Mormon that Rick Perry personally despises ...

Already ... in the background, the GOP E-RINOs are prepping Romney's replacement ... maybe Jeb Bush ... maybe Christie ...

You'll see ... you heard it here first ... 9 March 2012 at Free Republic ...

Newt needs money. If he wins Mississippi and Alabama...would love to see him win big in Texas which will make it even more difficult for Mitt to pick up the necessary delegates.

I am craving another debate. Did not care for the Huckabee forum where they rigged it for Mitt.

If Romney thinks this will 'impress' Southerners, he is mistaken .... he has NO idea how offensive I find it when "Mr. Cadillac-driving-$2,000-shoes" adopts a fake drawl, talks grits (but does he eat them?) and lets us know his friends 'own' NASCAR teams.

Foster said he "gets questioned all the time" about being a black and supporting Gingrich. "African American is one thing, but I'm an American first,"

And despite the "Mississippi Burning" analogies, I have found this to be more true in a lot of the South than in the liberal bastions - Blacks relate as Americans instead of victims.

Where does the president think natural gas comes from? ... It comes from drilling.

This just in from the MSM: "The Obama (praise his name) truth squad immediately jumped on Gingrich's false claim by producing video of natural gas coming out of a pipe in the ground. We have investigators looking into this and we CAN verify that it appears Gingrich is lying and that the Obama (praise his name) statement that natural gas does indeed comes from pipes in the ground is true."

Newt drilled Obama?

I was under the impression that Obama hadn’t been drilled by any guys since his wild college days.

Well, there was Donald Young, but Obama had him drilled with a couple .45 bullets.

What makes it particularly weird is that he's the one who brought it up. It;s not like he was ordering food, or was asked, etc.

Plus, as far as I can tell, liking grits isn't any sort of meaningful measure of a person.

Not that you asked, but this Yankee likes grits. Plain, mostly (well, with butter and pepper), to keep the fried eggs hot. Splash on some Frank's.

Grits with any kind of cheese is good, too. I make a Shrimp and Grits dish .... oh boy, that's heaven. As for Romney, he can "kiss my grits" as we Southerners say when someone makes us mad.

Indeed. I just don;t do cheese with breakfast, usually. Sometime, if I carve a snack, I'll make grits and top them with cheese.

I can imagine grits and some sort of pork would be good too. Didn;t think of it 'til now, but grits would probably be good as a rice substitute with a stir fry sort of topping - chicken and sweet peppers perhaps.

I don't experiment much with my food, can you tell? ;-)
