All the FOX hosts and RINO radio gang are constantly asking every single caller or guest they talk to who is critical of Romney whether they will vote for him over Obama if he wins the primary. I’m getting sick and tired of hearing that every single time anyone says a bad thing about Romney. I never realized how many of these guys rely on RNC talking points. They’re trying to drill the meme into people’s heads that they must vote Romney and also doing a nice misdirection off of the criticism, forcing the critic to say something positive about Romney. I don’t think I’ve heard one yet say they won’t vote for Romney against Obama.
We all know this. But, he has to get the nomination first. What can we do to stop him and Rick from splitting the Conservative vote and giving Romney all these friggin’ victories. Sometimes it just seems so stinkin’ hopeless.
Thomas is right. The problem is how many who vote actually WATCH debates.
Thomas Sowell and Newt Gingrich are national treasures. I would love Thomas Sowell no matter who he supported, incredible man.
Breitbart was one, too...
This is why the GOP-e, with help from the MSM, are working so hard to push Newt out of the primary.
Romney hems and haws too much.
I don’t want to imagine a Romney-Obama debate. It keeps going through my mind, but I try to stop it.
“Well, yes, Barack, but we need to tinker with a few of the details on ObamaCare to make it more like RomneyCare”.
“For the most part I agree Barack, but the details of a national firearms registry have to be worked out, including how people prove a need to be placed on the eligibility list before their firearms are returned to secure, government-controlled storage that they are permitted to access, and the appropriate waiting period before gaining that access.”
“On energy, we disagree. Gas prices should top out at $10 per gallon, not $12. We want to cut down on greenhouse gas emissions, but we also need to moderate the impact on our economy.”
“What is the biggest difference between me and Barack Obama? That’s easy. He hates America and wants to transform it into something unrecognizable. I love America and wants to transform it into something unrecognizable. We’re opposites.”
Amen... it is the truth and that is just a fact!
Sounds like people are convinced that if Obama is defeated in a debate, he automatically loses the election! I bet most people that vote, really don’t care about the debate results...but people got to have something to grasp to.
In an open venue with no special one-sided audience control, no cherry picking of moderators/panelist, he could out-debate Obama.
However, if he were the GOP nominee, this would never happen. Such a debate would be the most hamstrung, controlled debate in history. It could be more likened to a Kabuki play than a debate.
What makes us think that Obama will debate Gingrich? He won't. He'll just sit back and blow a billion in dishonest Romney-style advertising. Newt has enough dirt that it will stick. Fools.
That's sort of become my take too. (Of course Obama would have to participate and so would the MSM.)
In baseball, they have the designated hitter. I propose we let Gingrich be Santorum’s designated debater.
Myth will fold like a cheap suit in debate !
I didn’t see the video but I usually agree with dr. Sowell. It could be true that newt might fight Obama the best. I am not sure newt’s pugilism is quite what we need. For example, newt is the best debater. So he comes to the debate armed with his rapier sharp skills. The Chicago team brings a GUN. Obama brings some embarrassing thing no one knows about Gingrich and slyly MOCKS him at the debate. Even better if Obama adds to the true thing by embellishing it. Knocks Gingrich for a loop, makes his chubby face screw up in anger, which is not a pleasing sight, and it’s what is talked about the next day, NOT gingrich’s command of facts.
Also, Gingrich might be the best Obama-fighter, but when he wins, he will be president. His disorganized visionary narcissism is not the careful stewardship of the nation I want or we need right now.
- Mitt: The east coast progressive-liberal masquerading as a republican. Even some democrats look like strong conservatives compared to this guy. I feel that if he wins the election, he will move so far to the left, he will make his supporters look like goats, but first he has to win the election which would be hardest for him as liberals and "moderates" will go for BO, and many conservatives will not even bother to vote for him.
- Rick: A big government republican who is good social conservative... reminds me of George W. I like his social conservatism, and he speaks well on that platform. However, his economic and foreign policy discussions are just.. well.. ho-hum. He is a safe choice compared to MR and BO. He spent a good deal of time as a Senator, however just one among many. A lot of his supporters go for him because he feels a safe choice. He would just be a mediocre president at best, but better than BO or MR. However, we are in a time of very difficult problems, and I don't think he has the horse-power, leadership or experience to tackle those problems.
-Newt: The Reagan conservative with profound ideas and solutions based campaign. He is a leader and a thinker, and he has experience with a record of accomplishments. He is also the fighter to deal with the libs and the media as they throw everything including the kitchen sink at him. His private life has been a failure with regards to his marriages, however, he has come around and changed his ways. His personal problems started with his relationship and eventual marriage to a much older adult when he was just a child. Newt Gingrich has the right combination of leadership, experience, and intellect to be a good president for these times.
He makes a good case for Newt, but a better case for voting for WHOEVER faces Obama.
