Romney speaks like he’s the infomercial salesman in charge of selling Shamwow to the gullible audience.
The good thing about this Romney gaffe is, it unintentionally reflects on Santorum. Who goes out and blatantly patronizes his audience like that?
Not to defend Romney, but the leftwing media will twist anything and everything about ANY GOP CANDIDATE into a negative to construct a disagreeable caricature to hammer Americans with non-stop - using everything weapon in their arsenal of propaganda. All while covering up and glorifying Obama!
Whether it will be "weird" (translation: Mormon) Romney, "fanatical" (translation: fundamentalist) Christian Santorum or maritally "unfaithful" (translation: politically untrustworthy/ruthless/heartless) Gingrich, they will all be judged unable "to connect with Americans."
FReepers or candidates jumping on the leftwing band in such attacks have already surrendered the November election - by allowing the leftwing media to dictate the terms. Terms that arm the left and disarm its opponents.
To win in November Americans and the GOP candidate's campaign must attack the media's bias and answer media caricatures by fighting fire with fire. They will not win by empowering the Media, by joining in it these attacks in the GOP primary when it favors their candidate.

The video is interesting...he is clearly humming and hawing to answer a questions he clearly has no clue how to answer. The bug squash moment was to buy time and to divert attention. IMHO. I am not a Romney fan.
He reminds me of the Mayor in the old movie "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas".
Every time he speaks, all I see is the scene where the slick looking Mayor rambles on for ten minutes, says nothing, puts his hat on sideways, turns quickly under it and leaves.

It does. Nobody interrupts a speech to kill a bug unless they have the attention span of a squirrel. And the weird satisfaction he gets. I'll bet he creamed his pants. The guy is a certifiable freak.
