Obama's 2% Lie (Obama is a 100% walking lie)
Fox News ^ | 2/27/2012 | Gerri Willis

Gas prices shot up 18 cents on average nationwide over the past two weeks, according to the latest Lundberg survey.

That puts the average cost of regular gas at $3.69 a gallon. Of course, many of you around the country are already paying over $4.

President Obama, members of his administration, Democrats in Congress, and his allies on the left all make the same case: we can't "drill our way" out of this problem.

They say we use a quarter of the world's oil, but only have 2% of the world's oil reserves. So, do the math. They say it's impossible, but here's how he gets to that mythical 2%.

For simplicity, we'll call it Obama's big oil lie because that's what it is.

They're only counting proven oil reserves.

The truth is that 2% oil reserves figure is whatever the government says it is.

If Obama had started on the first day in office to
facilitate domestic production by now you would see
prices falling.
Every milestone would bring lower prices as OPEC
cut prices to make domestic production more expensive.
It’s what should have been done and we would have been
three years closer to energy independence.

In his equation the POS is only counting 50 states which means he is leaving out those other 7 claimed to have visited.

No, but the proposed pipeline from Canada would have gone a long way in keeping gas prices down. Thank the usual democrap suspects for putting the kabosh on this proposal yesterday.

At least any price of over $2/gal should be kept in this country, instead of shipping it overseas.

If Obama is going to condon escalating oil prices, at least tool up the US to produce oil here instead of wasting our capital overseas.

They are great at telling us why things we propose "can't" work. Trouble is, they never come up with anything realistic of their own to solve the problem. Last time, Odingbat said we should all inflate our tires and trade in our cars for something more efficient. Those are the solutions Odipweed has. Total idiocy.

Their other mantra is "Oh, that's no good, that will take 10 years to make a difference." Well, I say, if that's true, it's all the more reason to start doing it now, today. If we had started drilling in ANWR ten years ago when the 'Rats were complaining that it would take 10 years to bring that into production, it would be coming on line today, maybe bringing down the price from $4/gallon to something more manageable for everyday people.

Just look where we would be if W had started drilling in 2001.

One of the main reason the price of gas is going up(along with food, products etc.) is that we are printing money and creating inflation. That has been their plan all along, which forces people into higher tax brackets(and a much lower standard of living, except for the elites.

It is no doubt a tactical mistake for obammy to mess with the pump prices at this time. He’s either getting tired of playing president or he doesn’t believe there will be a mandate to sever him from government in any capacity as quickly as possible. If gas prices reach a certain thresshold it wouldn’t surprised me to see some pre-1776 remedies grabbing the headlines. Gas prices will be the least of our worries during that period.
