The Barbours are for Romney, and MS people may know nothing else.

Not sure how anyone thinks conservatives can hold Romney in check when you’ll have 4 years of the GOPravda media spinning for this guy the way they’ve been spinning him in the campaign. They’ll cram a pro-choice, gay-friendly, big government, progressively taxed, welfare state Republican party down our throats and keep telling us we have to go this route or we’ll NEVER be reelected. Why anyone would think the current narrative of the Mittstream media wouldn’t continue on into this guy’s presidency is beyond me. And there’s no question a cowardly RINO majority in Congress will be happy to go along with Romney and the media’s desires.

It’s looking clearer to me that we need to reject any Romney candidacy in November unless we want to nail the conservative cause into its coffin once and for all. Better to continue packing the Congress with conservatives to gridlock Obama and start planning a strategy to make sure we nominate a conservative in the 2016 open race.

If Newt had put his ego aside, Santorum would have won both these states with 50%. But Noooooooooooo, you people just had to be arrogant, pompous, a-holes.

Careful with that language there friend ... remember, you're supporting a Saint.

.. Kerry in ‘04 if it had been done then.

Do you even know what you are talking about? It WAS most certainly done in 2004. Drudge posted the exit polls and updated them as they networks got the information. The exit polls showed Kerry winning all day. He lost. The exit polls were simply incorrect which resulted in most of the media assuming Kerry had won. If you don't remember the big shock that 2004 was and how the National Election Pool (formerly VNS) was forced to try to explain their failure, then you probably are not learned enough about this issue to even discuss it.

Stop getting your panties in a bunch over disappointing exit polling. There is no use in hiding this information and it may not even be correct.

GREAT job Newt, allowing a socialist to win the nomination. Give your dirigible-sized ego a rest now. Right now, I have more contempt for Newt than Romney, though it’s a close call.

Absolutely, Newt has ruined the chances of a real conservative. Actually, I had more faith in conservative voters before this fiasco allowed the lying socialist creep to win. Bob

Absolutely. It’s confusing, it appears that Romney has “won” and then someone looks at it close and you see it has nothing to do with it ....but SOME people take it as the results.

I can’t believe the HYPE everywhere for this idiot Romney. Can’t people just use their brains in any capacity to see how much the media is shilling for this guy?? It’s disgusting.

Yeah right, by DEFEATING Romney throughout the middle of the country, Rick helped Romney win. A sizable segment of women, esp, hate Newt b/c he reminds them of the guy in whom they invested time and love, and then got dumped. Nothing can change this, and there is no way that Newt could have won. But he has become a spoiler, which is fine in sports, but not so great when it allows America to be destroyed. Bob

Oh, the irony!

Romney in ... 1994: “ “I personally believe that when electoral campaigns spend the kind of money they’re now spending . . . and to get that kind of money you’ve gotta cozy up as an incumbent to all of the special-interest groups who can go out and raise money for you from their members, and that kind of relationship has an influence over the way you’re going to vote ... I also would abolish PACS. You probably have one. I don’t like them. I don’t like the influence of money—whether it’s business, labor, or any other group. I do not like that kind of influence . . .”

http://www.clubforgrowth.org/whitepapers/?subsec=137&id=905

Romney’s super PACs 2012 have so far spent some $90 millions on his behalf in negative advertising, smearing the other candidates. Any idea WHEN would Romney abolish his super PACs?

If Romney wins Mississippi it will be because Santorum and Gingrich split the vote. It’s basic math. Sure there will always be some that will want to blame it on Drudge or someone else. But this is an lesson on the importance of the need for conservatives to unite around a candidate.

Remember too that many AL and MS liberals, apologetic over their states’ segregationist pasts, will back Romney to show they are reformed. Lots of Democrats will go for Romney in both states, and quite a few will stick with him in the fall.

Once Newt only won his home state on Super Tuesday, everyone knew he had no chance. Newt will go the convention with only wins in his home state and one bordering state. Yet he peeled off enough votes in Michigan, Ohio, Alabama etc. To give the RINO the win. When Rick had momentum with multiple wins across the country, Newt could have backed him and Romney would be toast by now.
