You know, I’ve talked to many people tonight who are upset, and who said God didn’t answer our prayers

Mental image of God rolling his eyes with a cartoon bubble over his head that says "You people..."

; )

“So...you voted for McCain and got Obama. So it makes perfect sense to NOT vote for whoever runs against Obama this time of its of Newt because somehow “that’ll show ‘Em!””

You know, I understand your point of view, but I sympathize with the other side as well. Just as you mentioned to Katie that DU and Daily KOS will love her comments (i.e. they read this site) I also believe that the GOPe reads all of these boards and Facebook and Twitter and that they take comfort in the abundance of “I will support the R regardless” posts. It allows them to justify their shoving of a liberal down our throats.

When is enough enough? Isn’t it about time we take our country back?

LMAO!! "Like"

” Should infidelity be a prerequisite for elected office?” Hey, what are you implying here? What’s up with ragging on Newt’s wierd exwives? Are you an apostate? Athiest maybe? I mean, you can’t be Christian can you? And ignore repentance, and conversion, and grant no forgiveness yourself? Should I hold that because Karen S. lived and slept with an abortionist for six years against her? I don’t, but you are leading into nasty soil here, if I read your challenge correctly. Suggest you may want to check and see just how tall your boot tops really are before you go much further.

Absolutely right. Watching the take over of the republican party by weak conservatives is not strengthening our cause. I respect GW Bush and know he is a good man but he was way too moderate for me. First thing he did was reach across the aisle to Ted Kennedy to implement the disasterous "No Child Left Behind" program. Bush was a compassionate conservative...that term sends up a red flag to me. McCain was off the map with his liberal agenda. I worked for McCain and went to see him but he was a weak candidate.

Well, it won't be the first time a conservative candidate did not win the gop nod...memories of Reagan come to mind. PS...the DU and Daily Kos will love the attacks made against Newt by the RS supporters too.

this This THIS!!

It's hard to watch the various factions on both the left AND the right come together to serve up a candidate who I believe has NO chance in the general.

AND -->Either Rick's too wrapped up in his Sally Field moment to realize it, or it's worse and he knows perfectly well what's going on and he doesn't care

” His message seems to be attracting too small a base this time.” What is most difficult to contend with is that it is hardly Newt’s “message” posing the problem, but rather the power and the inestimable millions out together by his enemies and mine that formed a kill machine against him, and then watching Rickster reap the benefit of that kill machine, by accident, all while attracting no fire because he is no threat to anyone or anything. Santorum actually thinks his victories were won on his own steam, on his superior message, (borrowed from everyone all along the way, Perry, Newt and even Romney himself) when in truth Rick has always served as stooge to the GOP-E. He was the beneficiary of the assault on Newt that went totally nuclear, leaving RS a cleared field state after state, as the only anti-Romney left standing outside of Uncle Nutty. Those FACTS, of the accidental candidate, will take some time to digest. Yes, the rancid taste of his quite ill gotten gains will take some time to swallow.

Greetings from the gorgeous Ozarks of MO:)
Yes, “Newtard” is only responsible for the gop revolution in which many republicans were swept into office; the contract with America; welfare reform; 4 consecutive balanced budgets. You know what he accomplished is so amazing.
I like Newt because I KNOW he is a strong fiscal conservative..ask Bush 41..lol about Newt fighting him on his tax hikes.

Ah the Ozarks, I’ve always wanted to visit, especially Rocky Ridge (I’m a total LHOTP nerd, books only please). My posting name already indicates my location ha.
I agree with you, obviously, regarding Newt’s accomplishments and potential but hey, what do I know? I agree about Newt’s being the only one who has a prayer of beating the current Occupant, but what do I know?

I’m ONLY in the middle of opposition territory (R voter #3 at 3:30 pm on primary day thankuverymuch. Those old biddies stink-eye me every election LOL) and so I wouldn’t have a clue as to what any leftists are planning, executing, and or gloating about. None at all. /sarcasm

Moved to the Ozarks 15 yrs ago but am really a Virginian. It is like stepping back in time here..lol. KC and St Louis are wild places but the Ozarks are interesting. Blue Ridge Mts are prettier imo though I grew up on the east coast and beach..loved going to the mountains too. Always wanted to visit Martha's Vineyard (lib country) but wanted to go there for the scenery.

I really dont care what the RS or Romney supporters think about me or my posts. I am 100% for Newt and will stay that way until the end..which may be soon:( Stand by my belief that Santorum is a pious little fraud...lol ..have a great day!

I understand your angst, but if you think any of the Republican candidates, including Romney, would be worse for our country than Barak Obama, you need to think again.

Seriously.

Even if our candidate turns out to be a place holder or a disappointment in aggressive pursuit of conservative goals, it will be better than 4 more years of Obama.

We have both unemployment, a bad economy and inflation all combined under this president, who is nothing but a devout left-wing socialist who caters to the nuttiest elements of our society.

Just putting a cardboard guy up there for the next four years would be better than Obama.

If you don’t like the top of the ticket, vote it anyway, at the same time concentrating on the local congress races to insure a bigger conservative majority in the House and gaining the Senate.

That alone won’t stop Obama, as some think, because he ignores the law and the constitution and figures out ways to get around them.

I think Perry would have been a great president. I think Newt would be a good one (and interesting). I think Santorum would be a decent president.

I think Romney would be the worst choice but one thousand times better than Obama.

Sitting this one out isn’t an option with me. Hope you end up feeling the same way.

Newt’s surprisingly bad debates did him in in Florida. So, now all Newt will have is his TWO states with which to saunter into the convention. Between now and then, all this guy is going to do is muddle the issues between conservative Santorum and socialist Mitt. I hope to God that the man decides to do the decent thing-——withdraw and support Santorum. Does he think that a President ROMNEY will have any use for him. No, but President Santorum certainly would! Bob
