Obama lauds virtues of 'heartland' at NCAA game
NBC ^ | 03-13-2012 | Domenico Montanaro

President Obama displayed his knowledge of basketball strategy at an appearance at a first-round NCAA tournament game, but politics wasn't far behind. "It's great to see a tournament game, but it's great to see Ohio," Obama said during a halftime interview from the first game of the NCAA basketball tournament in Dayton, Ohio. With the United Kingdom's prime minister David Cameron next to him, Obama stressed that often foreign leaders "only see the coasts. But the heartland is what it’s all about." There is not doubt that Ohio is certainly "what it's all about" when it comes to electoral politics for a president expected to be in a tough fight for reelection this November.

If the Idiot in Chief spent as much time on attempting running the country as he does vacations and filling out his basketball bracket, something might get done. Naw, never happen, either way.

Did anybody but a Bamanoid actually buy that?

Baraq has ValJ and Axlegrease to do the heavy lifting.

Fun fact: in 2011 he played more rounds of golf than my SIL who’s a PGA club pro.

Months ago I told my wife that we were about to see the most concerted media campaign to make the Obamas look like the most normal, regular, middle class, Middle American family in the history of the republic. Operation Giant Fraud appears to be running right on schedule.

Oh the weighty decisions...the scales of justice...an NCAA Tourney game (play-in game at that) on one hand, the price of gas crushing America in the other...oh the imagery...

Oh, and our side, Boehner, again stupid enough to get in a photo op with him. You would have thought Boehner would have learned from the golf round to stay out of photo ops to be used for future ads.

I just hope we’re smart enough to use the photo of $5.39/gallon gas taken near the White House.

Rod, Mr. Serling, sir, I want to escape from this Twilight Zone episode we’re in.

I take your point, but think it’s time we stopped describing the Presidential function as “running the country.”

He doesn’t run the country. He doesn’t even run the government. He runs the executive branch.

Kings, emperors and dictators run their countries.

Here in the US, We the People are supposed to run the country in our daily lives and associations.

Zero sure looked like a little wimp next to Clark.

He also said that he did not think he will have much more time see any more games. Not even the final four.

He also picked Ohio State to make the final four.

I didn’t think the fawning could get any more active or overt than it was but IT HAS already.

Every time they show a quick (TV) shot of Zero, he is “teaching” Cameron something.

The Dumbass -in-chief dumped how much CO2 into the atmosphere and wasted even more taxpayer money so his lazy ass can go to Dayton and pander.

It is the Heartland that will be instrumental in voting his corrupt incompetent butt out of office November.

How did he justify this trip? As training for Cameron? High level Gov’t training?

Yes! Cameron has that stiff upper lip thing going like 'just let me watch the game, doofus'.

Looks like Zero is not going to stay for the second game. He is holding some poor baby and having pics taken on the way out. As he waves to all his fans that came to see him.

W Ky won the game for the big O.

President Obama takes visiting British Prime Minister David Cameron on a road trip to watch round one of the of the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship March Madness game in Dayton, OH. The trip includes a roundtrip ride on AF1 for P.M. Cameron. The complete collection of 0bama's greatest speeches. A bust of 0bama and a visit to a soon defunct green energy company. This is just day one of a two-day "official visit". Tomorrow's festivities will include a huge arrival ceremony on The South Lawn, more narcissistic bullshit from 0bama. Tedious and dull moments around Moochelle and a State Dinner.
