TRENTON, N.J. (CBS) – Trenton’s health department could shut down some city buildings if a toilet paper shortage isn’t resolved soon.

“It could be an inconvenience for anybody, young, old, male, female,” said Maryann Wooten of Hamilton Township.

The toilet paper and paper towel supply for at least eleven buildings, including city hall, are dangerously low.

Surely this invokes memories in somebody who remembers the citizens of the former Soviet Union standing in line to buy toilet paper.

I do.

When ‘IT’ really hits, a trip to Walmart will be futile, as they will be cleaned out in hours, if not minutes. The key is to ALREADY have your inventory - at least for 4 years of normal use, or so.

If not, have fun waiting in line after line to try to grab what little crumbs become available (after we collapse...which WILL be soon).

...many employees are forced to bring their own rolls.

Where there's a will, there's a way.

New bennie for NJ state workers: you get to supply your own toilet paper. Cool!

I don't think crumbs will quite do the trick here.

Help Trenton, NJ; recycle your old phone books by sending them to Trenton for use.

They need a blue-ribbon panel and a bidding process, and they need to make sure the paper is eco-friendly and socially conscious and doesn’t aid Israel and comes from an Obama-donor company....

This could take weeks.

Use the tax laws and environmental regulations. There’s got to be thousands of pages of them.

Naw, heck, you could probably use 10-20 sheets of regulations & still have plenty to go ‘round.

Trenton has always been full of liberal shit so it’s time to call Joe the Plumber, the Roto-Rooter Man, and a supplier of Super Ex-Lax.

PS: THere isn’t enough toilet paper in New Jersey to clean up Trenton. Sandpaper, maybe.

We started saving the phone books (finally). To be used as fire starter, tp, etc. I’m glad I read that tip someplace (maybe here). Ya never know...

Index pages from catalogs work too. The Glossy photo pages are too slick.

They should take Sheryl Crow’s advice. One pane at a time and their inventory will last a lifetime.

Professional government sh1t-shovelers ought to know better than to be caught without toilet paper.

Haha, what Trenton needs is a supply officer who can help them find those back alleys:

This is kind of like the dust-bowl days...where folks had to pack up and leave an area because they just couldn’t make it. Without toilet paper at town-hall or schools...it’s a downward spiral.

I think the only thing we can do....is ask the President to make the toilet paper folks freely give away toilet paper to every American. It is our right....to have toilet paper. We ought to ask for a national mandate....to ensure everyone has a roll (or two). Even those folks at Georgetown University....will need a roll (or two).
