Bill Maher insults Alabama and Mississippi voters
News Busters ^ | Mar 14th, 2012 | Noel Sheppard

Posted on 03/14/2012 9:37:56 AM PDT by sandshark222

HBO's Bill Maher on Tuesday took a disgusting cheap shot at Alabama and Mississippi voters.

With all eyes on Republican primaries in those states, Maher sent a message via Twitter saying, "Toothless Tuesday too tight to tally!"

This came just days after he and his Real Time panel mocked poor people in Mississippi.

Their behavior was even too offensive for Roseanne Barr who tweeted Tuesday, "I was really disheartened to see how Pelosi's daughter& Bill Maher portrayed southern americans-classism at its best by H'wood elitists."

Barr followed this up with, "southern folk are not all toothless idiots or racists, unlike what bill maher &pelosi's daughter want us to think."

You know what they say - when you've lost Roseanne Barr...

Readers are reminded that this is the same man that gave $1 million to Barack Obama's Super PAC.

I am a college football fan and the co-eds at the SEC schools in those two states sure are not “toothless”. I think U of Miss was voted as having the hottest co-eds in the USA.

Bill Maher and the crowd that sneers as Mississippi ought to get their facts right. A visit to Missisippi: Believe It! reveals the astonishing reality about the Magnolia State.

Here's just one fact about this pro-God, pro-life, pro-gun, pro-military state populated by some of the finest people you'll find anywhere in America:

If you listen to “Hollywood,” Mississippi should be the last place to turn for learning anything about medicine. They couldn’t be more wrong. When it comes to modern medicine, Mississippi wrote the book. Literally. While at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, Mississippian Dr. Arthur Guyton wrote the Textbook of Medical Physiology, used by medical students around the world since 1956.

The best-selling physiology book ever published, this textbook may very well be the best-selling medical textbook of any kind. UMC physiologist, Dr. John Hall, assisted Dr. Guyton with the ninth and tenth editions of the textbook. Upon Dr. Guyton’s death in 2003, Dr. Hall took over the textbook, thus continuing to help educate the finest future physicians in the world ... through a book written right here in Mississippi. Mississippi. You could say we’re a textbook case for advancing modern medicine.

And there are many more truths on that site to counter the sneering liberal lies about Mississippi.

It’s OK...
Bill Maher is a DEMOCRAT, and this just helps to reinforce the media’s “SOUTHERN REPUBLICANS ARE STOOPID!” meme, so it’s all good.

Southerners are, for the most part, pretty secure in their identity and in most cases, downright proud of it.
We really don’t need Madison Ave or Hollywood approval to be free-thinking.
Maher would have a challenge finding a crowd to hang with down here that is suitable crass and arrogant for his tastes.
And I can think of several people that would love to take him on a “fishin’ trip”.

I have an idea for a screen play. It starts with Bill Maher driving down in the deep South late at night and his car quits. He starts walking toward a lighted house. He eventually gets to the door and knocks for some help as his cell phone has no signal. Now the hilarity ensues. They invite him in and they immediately recognize him and then they commence to reenact every disgusting scene out of “Deliverance” they can until Maher dies from anal rape. The End.

There's the old saying that one death is a tragedy. A million deaths is a statistic. Reagan once gave a speech about an incredible amount of money he saved when he was governor of California. The response was silence and stares. He gave another speech about saving a very small amount of money and received cheers and applause. The lesson he learned was that people can relate to the smaller amount.

I’m sure this slob doesn’t even have a mirror in his house and if he does... he must have it covered or he ducks down as he passes it.
We have been in TN and MS many, many times and this was a total insult to the good people who live there. maher is a slime with no soul. He is pure evil. His face pictures everything he is and has inside of him. nothing but hatred, jealousy, anger, bitterness and God knows what all else. All I know is he needs professional help and SOON!

Actually, a better screenplay would be that my peeps here in Alabama wouldn’t know who he is, (probably true) fix his car, feed him a good country meal, and send him on his way.

Your post was the same stereotype that Maher used. Obviously you are not from the deep south.

From what I’ve seen in photos, the physical description you give is closest to the average member of the klan, and they’re all democrats.

of course they make fun of us—they’re jealous! We have the best beaches, the best food, the best college football teams, the best accents, we have a rich heritage of Spanish, French, English, and African ancestry; we have a rich heritage of churches that are STILL active and growing (they do call us the Bible Belt, and I am VERY proud of that!); we have excellent marksmen & women who can easily cling to our guns while we can just as easily recite verses from the Bible. We have a STRONG tradition of “FAMILY” down here, and we definitely take care of our neighbors. We have a patriotic spirit down here that is fierce and legendary. Let ‘em poke fun at us—remember, a Yankee is someone who comes to visit; a damned yankee is someone who stays! :) I’m proud to be a Southerner, even more proud to be an American!

Alternately, after inviting him in to the house, the courteous, kind Southern folks treat him with the authentic hospitality known well in that region. While waiting for a wrecker to get his car, they share the Gospel of Jesus Christ as they dine on the satisfying comfort food fare famed in Dixie.

Bill Maher, so overcome by the genuine generosity and love of people he thought to be his "toothless" enemies, repents and is baptized for the remission of sins by a Mississippi preacher. He leaves his atheistic liberal lifestyle behind and becomes a new champion for Christian Conservatism.

That's the real Mississippi and the power of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

You're right. I've lived in the south and know their hospitality and kindness. But ol' Bill would probably go back and say that some inbred rednecks screwed up his car and tried to poison him before he escaped.

Is anyone REALLY surprised by this?? Maher is a media elite who still thinks all southerners chew hay straws and walk around in overalls.

Don’t forget that, a few years ago, CBS was planning a “reality” TV show in which they would find some gen-u-wine “hillbillies” and plop them into a mansion in Beverly Hills a la “The Beverly Hillbillies”. Sounds like a real yuckfest.

Liberals are the most disgusting, elitist pigs around and everything they do just confirms how much lower they are willing to go. So far, they have hit rock bottom and have brought in heavy equipment to dig the hole deeper!

I'm certain that this politically correctophile POS fantasizes about being gang raped by groups of minority men as punishment for being born a white American male. That is probably typical of liberal cowards that viciously attack the only group of people that it is politically correct to attack these days, heterosexual, Christian, southern people of European ancestry

Yankees are amazed at what a world-class city Huntsville has become in such a short time. It wasn't too many decades ago that nearby Decatur was the dominant city and "Huntspatch" was just a town.

There are great recreational areas in the Mountain Lakes area and stunning vistas. Where else in the world can you find something as out of this world as the Marshall Space Flight Center and get out of this world food over at Greenbrier Bar-B-Que?

Cape Canaveral Air Force base, along with the Kennedy Space Center in the background, Titusville, Florida.

Well, to me it looks like the whole gulf coast is well represented in the space program, from the early 1960s on. As for Hollywood, they can only fake moon landings.
