The people who vote for Obama are stupid enough to believe him, even when they see evidence to the contrary at the pumps. Obama’s solution is to release oil from the strategic reserves, even though the price of oil has nothing to do with supply. If anything, releasing strategic reserves when they aren’t needed contributes to the problem. OPEC sees what Obama is doing, and they hope he does more of it, right up until the point no more strategic reserves can be released. The have a fool on the end of their line. The mere threat of more drilling, exploration and development of our own resources will send prices down. It worked the last time, and it will work now, but Obama can’t do it. Instead, we get lies.

Hey Bammy, Econ 101 lesson for you...
You already increased your production/supply of BS all over the country to the point where it’s value is practically ZERO. If you increase the supply of oil, regardless of how much drilling we do, the value of that oil will also drop proportionally.
Since your regulations restrict that supply across ALL the drill sites, the production stays low and the cost of it, and your BS, remains high.

We’re also not drilling much on federal lands. Oil production on federally controlled lands is down 11% from 2010 to 2011.
This guy has thrown up every roadblock and disincentive he can come up with to discourage domestic oil production. The fact that domestic oil production overall is up is in spite of the feds footdragging and outright hostile behavior.

Obama has incessantly criticized Republican for being pro-drilling, yet he boasted in this speeck about how he’s done nothing but “drill, baby, drill” since he was elected.

What is it with Democrats and half-truths? Nobody said we aren’t drilling. Our contention is that he is personally standing in the way of permitting more drilling in the future. The press who cover him know this, but they know their access will be gone if they try to probe past the weasel words.
