Blitzer: Maher is a "Casualty" of Limbaugh

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Folks, again I tell you: These two polls, the New York Times and the Washington Post on Monday of this week, have thrown this White House for a loop.

I have sound bites coming in mere moments where members of the State-Controlled Media are now attacking the intelligence of people who are polled and asking, "Are the polls broken?" (laughing) We get some State-Controlled Media polls that look bad for Obama and they run stories, "Are these polls broken? Are the people in the polls stupid?" They have what they think is the smartest, slickest, most-polished president and politician ever in the history of the country. They have total propaganda control over the media, and in their minds that means they have total control over what America thinks, and Obama's approval number is at 41%.

Even after last week, I was supposed to be banished and finished and gone forever. Conservative talk radio was supposed to be dead and buried -- the last remaining opposition to Obama, by the way (plus some brave, courageous conservative bloggers). The conservative media at large, Obama's not so much concerned about them. Now, last week all this was supposed to work. Finally, the dream was to have come true! And instead what's happened? (chuckling) What's happened is... Here. Grab audio sound bite number five. What has happened? We've got the polls. We've got the White House in panic. Gasoline prices! Talk radio, Limbaugh, were supposed to have been finally taken care of, banished and gone forever. No more serious opposition to Obama.

And instead here is Wolf Blitzer on CNN yesterday...

BLITZER: The latest casualty in the firestorm engulfing conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbuh (sic) could be the liberal comedian Bill Maher who's now getting a lot of heat from Republicans and some Democrats alike for his own recent inflammatory comments.

RUSH: "The latest casualty from the firestorm engulfing" me is not talk radio; it's their own Bill Maher. They're lamenting, "Oh, no, what's happened here? Now everybody's focusing on Maher and some of the other truly base, disgusting, vile everyday stuff coming from Democrat media people." That's now being looked at. That now is being examined. None of this was supposed to happen.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: It's kind of funny to ponder the question: "Will Bill Maher be the first casualty in the war on women?" Ha! Who woulda thought, folks? But there's old Wolf Blitzer (mumbling), "The first casualty... the latest casualty ... firestorm ... is Bill Maher!" So this mythical war on women takes out Bill Maher, perhaps.

Back in late 1930s Germany, Jews would often console themselves by imagining if what the Germans accused them of actually came to reality.

This is a similar situation... I wouldn’t necessary agree Maher is a “casualty” of Limbaugh... but I certainly could live with that.

Maher must’ve spent a lot of time being thrown into lockers by bigger guys and teased by girls.

He’s one angry dude.

After Rush punted the “smear letter” up Harry Reid’s keister, I always give things a few days to settle out after he’s attacked in the mainstream media.

Even people who don't care a whit about Maher are now watching him closely to see if he'll wonder off into the pornographic weeds again. Of course he will even if he is a bit intimidated now.

He just can't help himself; it's who he is.

Blitzer is a tool and a fool. “Getting heat” is not the same as “being a casualty.” But even so, I don’t believe Maher is getting any heat. Generally what’s happened is that the liberals were reminded of Maher’s statements, and the liberals said that it was okay for Maher to talk like that.

I think Limbaugh is a genius. I wouldn’t be surprised if he made his remarks about Fluke on purpose knowing what the predictable response of the left would be. Outrage, calls for boycotts, amounting to tons of free publicity from the liberals in the press. What the press idiots don’t realize is that they are not just preaching to the choir that hates Limbaugh. They are also stirring up curiosity in people who have been previously unaffiliated with either side politically. Their curiosity leads them to tune in Limbaugh to see what outrageous thing he’s going to say next. He then reports on all the outrageous things said by Maher and others liberals. In addition it’s a fact that Rush is very persuasive and very effective at dispelling liberal misconceptions and installing conservative ideas. That’s why he’s respectful to the liberals that call his show. He knows it’s a process and if they’re listening he’s got them. Rush has a ton of new listeners today who will be the conservatives of tomorrow thanks to the press idiots that took his bait. I myself started listening to Rush out of curiosity when Clinton blamed him for the OK city bombing. I didn’t know squat back then and now I’m a staunch conservative. Well played, Rush! The liberal media will never learn.

When I start seeing damage assessment polls on Maher, like the ones they are doing on Limbaugh; I’ll believe.

The polls that ask: Do you think Limbaugh should be fired?

How about the same for Maher-Letterman-Louis CK?

Yes, absolutely those guys also. David Letterman rants every time I have turned to his show about Republicans, much of it vile and false. Think what he has said about Sarah Palin and her young daughter.

Letterman is filled with hatred and bitterness. He hypocritical attacks on Newt were wild considering Letterman's own scandals, including reportedly conceiving his son out of wedlock.

Limbaugh could have been more diplomatic when characterizing Ms. Fluk. Maher, on the other hand, is a miserable, self-loathing, disgusting, vile, crude little (very little) man!

The first tip off that Maher was concerned about his own hate speech issues was when he urged Democrats to accept Rush's apology and move on.

I consider Letterman much worse than Maher. More people see him, and he’s on the public airwaves.

Limbaugh is definitely a genius!! I don’t listen to him all that much and I often turn him off when I do because he can get on my nerves but he is generally right in his reading of people and he has made a large fortune by getting people to tune in and listen. Those who think they are a lot smarter than Limbaugh mostly just imagine that, most of his critics can’t match wits with him except in their own dreams. It is comical to hear someone who votes for fascists, believes in manmade global warming, thinks Joe Biden is smart and earns as much money in a year as Limbaugh does in ten minutes refer to Rush as an idiot.

Oh, I forgot to add that Maher is a pathetic little twerp and the fact that he is paid to appear on TV is proof of the degenerated condition of the USA. In a sane world he would be begging for an opportunity to clean some toilets to earn a few crumbs.
