The European car market still hasnt stopped tallying up the bad numbers: a fall of 9.7 percent for the month of February, writes financial daily Les Echos. At the forefront of this slide are the French car makers. Renault sales recorded a decline of 27.7 percent, Peugeot fell 20.9 percent and Citroën dropped by 12 percent (the PSA Group). Its a situation that should keep alive the discount war between the major groups, who often sell at 20 percent below list price.
In Italy the situation is not much better, notes La Repubblica: in February 2012 Fiat sales fell by 16.6 percent over February 2011. Fiat Group CEO Sergio Marchionne is meeting with Italian Prime Mario Monti today (March 16) to discuss Fiat's strategy for the coming years.
things haven’t changed since the 70’s
Eurotopians should get such a deal in U.S.A., if they had any euros.

Im very happy with my my A7
Chalk another to Zer0’s failures.
Sounds like those “yutes” in the Banlieues need to get busy again and destroy a few thousand cars to Stimulate Fwench auto production.
Sergio Marchionne has threatened to bring Fiat’s HQ to the United States if the Italian (and other European) unions do not accept major changes to their contracts.
In Europe, the trade unions are the soul of the socialist movement and hold significant power over the gov’t.
Drive a Euro car and you support communism.
(which shows that there is no good choice in cars anywhere)
Fiats have always been and always will be junk.
My wife just picked up an 07 - S6 really cheap. She loves it.
Audis have come a long way and are beautiful, desirable cars, but do not, do not, be casual about routine maintenance. Do it strictly by the book and never ride an oil change, switch to synthetic if it’s not already in there. Keep a log and you’ll be glad you did, come time to sell it.
Thank G_d the British auto industry is on it's ear(s) Our luck as share holders they would have farmed out the electrics to Lucas...
Audi’s have been my car of choice for a while now. The germans do produce some high quality cars. The S6 must be quite the monster, a 435hp v10 engine, lucky wife!

She and my son are car nuts. She drives about 30,000 miles a year for her work and she got it for the price of a cheap new car. She had 350,000 on her 2001 MB E-320 so she figured she would get as many miles out of this as an inexpensive new car.
She also tells me she’s taking it to amateur night at the Epping, NH drag way, it’s just a few miles down the road.
P.S. I’ve been relegated to the 1995 Toyota T-100 pick-up.
