Obama: Gas prices 'make things harder' By: Jennifer Epstein March 17, 2012 07:02 AM EDT

With the price of gas averaging $3.83 per gallon for regular – 30 cents more than a month ago – President Barack Obama said he feels Americans’ pain at the pump but his administration is limited in its ability to lower gas prices.

“What matters most to me right now is the impact that rising prices have on you,” he said in his weekly address broadcast Saturday. “When you’ve got to spend more on gas, you’ve got less to spend on everything else. It makes things harder.”

Obama has repeatedly said there is no “silver bullet” to stop prices from rising and that the issue is largely beyond his administration’s control. “The truth is: the price of gas depends on a lot of factors that are often beyond our control. Unrest in the Middle East can tighten global oil supply. Growing nations like China or India adding cars to the road increases demand,” he said.

“It’s easy to promise a quick fix when it comes to gas prices. There just isn’t one,” he said. “Anyone who tells you otherwise — any career politician who promises some three-point plan for two-dollar gas — they’re not looking for a solution. They’re just looking for your vote.”

Obama: Gas prices ‘make things harder’

First, thank you Captain Obvious.

Second, he’ll never touch a pump again in his life. I doubt he cares.

Weren’t high gasoline prices the fault of the prior administration?

/SSSS/

(Between the Progressive psychotics in the electorate and all the phantom voters out there, the results of the 2012 election might be in the bag for all those visceral, adolescent Democrats who think they’re superior to the rest of humanity.)

IMHO

And third, his administration has been frustrating exploration and development everywhere they can.

He claimed he could reduce the cost of health care, but now he says he can’t affect the price of gasoline. Hope and change.

Riiiiight. Barry says that increasing demand for oil is the problem but increasing the supply won't help at all. Must be Marxist math.

It’s not just gas prices. It’s price inflation in general.

That’s why I’m stocking up on toilet paper. Toilet paper might be worth more than the Obama/Bernanke dollar at some point. If not, toilet paper will certainly hold its value better.

1. you do not feel our pain dipshit since you do not pay for gasoline.
2. What you can do immediately is suspend the FEDERAL TAX on gasoline.
3. Then stop saying oil is the energy from the past, stop subsidizing Chevy Volts. stop subsidizing failing “green” energy projects
the list is endless.

WOW! My eyes have been opened finally to the genius this man really is. Hold on Einstien, you’ve got a real challenge on your hands. Well, maybe not. Since nobody has seen any records from education endeavors, who knows? I’m thinkin’, not the top of the class. Probably not even in the middle.

I hope I'm not the only one that can make a connection with

"“What matters most to me right now is the impact that rising prices have on you,” he said in his weekly address broadcast Saturday. “When you’ve got to spend more on gas, you’ve got less to spend on everything else. It makes things harder.”

and Romney's uncaring opinion about the poor.

They both indicate there is/are something "more important" than the reality of no money, no freedom.

America's freedom is ultimately linked to our cars and our wallets.

In MY lifetime, anyway, I've had both from an early age (via work), and if I can afford to drive anyplace ... I am absolutely free.

I wonder if college kids ever say today, "Road Trip ! ? !

And I, Barack Obama, am making it as hard as possible. Now, you will buy my wonderful government electric cars and eat the government cheese - or else.

This affirmative-action Princess, nobama, will never place his limp-wristed hand on a gas pump. Does the moron even have a drivers license (or a birth certificate for that matter)?
