Same-sex benefits a powder keg in Pentagon

Rights fight pits Holder vs. Panetta

The Obama administration is withholding medical and other benefits from same-sex spouses of military members, but Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. says he can no longer defend the law that authorizes the practice.

Conservatives are charging that Mr. Holder is going back on Pentagon promises to adhere to the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) in the September repeal of the ban on open gays in the military.

Military promises to enforce DOMA, which defines marriage as the union of one man and one woman, induced some fence-sitting members of Congress to support the administration’s push to repeal the ban: The Pentagon would not recognize same-sex marriages, thus would not extend an array of military benefits to same-sex spouses.

However, Mr. Holder’s Justice Department stopped defending DOMA in court challenges in February 2011.

What’s more, the attorney general last month sided with gay-rights activists in a lawsuit against Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta demanding benefits for spouses of legally married gay service members.

Elaine Donnelly, who runs the Center for Military Readiness, sees the action as a calculated bait-and-switch.

“Congress voted for [a lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender] law that [Defense Department] officials successfully disguised with fake promises before the lame-duck vote,” Mrs. Donnelly said.

“Had there been sufficient time to challenge contradictions in their testimony, the 1993 [ban] still would be in place. But [President] Obama would have failed to deliver on his promises to LGBT activist groups. That’s what it’s all about, then and now.”

Same-sex benefits a powder keg in Pentagon

In order to better understand, Pentagon's male staff members and male officers alike, train with fake breasts and empathy bellies so they can better understand how pregnant soldiers feel.

George Washington knew what to do with sodomites. He must be rolling over in his grave knowing what pansy ass liberals have done to not only to his military, but to this country.
******************

On Mar. 10, 1778, at Valley Forge, Gen. George Washington approved the dismissal from service of Lt. Frederick Gotthold Enslin for “attempting to commit sodomy” with another soldier.

In the first president’s papers at the Library of Congress is a series of orders with the title, “Head Quarters, V. Forge, Saturday, March 14, 1778.” It includes the following entry,

“At a General Court Martial whereof Colo. Tupper was President (10th March 1778) Lieutt. [Frederick Gotthold] Enslin of Colo. Malcom’s Regiment tried for attempting to commit sodomy, with John Monhort a soldier; Secondly, For Perjury in swearing to false Accounts, found guilty of the charges exhibited against him, being breaches of 5th. Article 18th. Section of the Articles of War and do sentence him to be dismiss’d the service with Infamy.

“His Excellency the Commander in Chief [George Washington] approves the sentence and with Abhorrence and Detestation of such Infamous Crimes orders Lieutt. Enslin to be drummed out of Camp tomorrow morning by all the Drummers and Fifers in the Army never to return; The Drummers and Fifers to attend on the Grand Parade at Guard mounting for that Purpose.”

Obama, Holder, Clinton, Panetta and the brown nose military brass........what a mess we’re in. If our economy was in better shape and jobs available, the military would be left with only the SF bath house types.

What has been “done” regarding the homo-ization of the military during Obama’s administration can — and should — be UNDONE by the next Republican administration and Republican Congress.

It can be "undone" as easily as the evils escaping from Pandora's Box can be put back in. Once even ONE homosexual military member is granted benefits for his "spouse" it will be foothold a too powerful to undo.

California is another example of once-granted "rights" - liberal judges just find it too irresistible to declare that these concocted "rights" had always existed to begin with.

This was the wisdom in the push for a federal marriage amendment, which, while Republicans had a chance to initiate failed to under the false excuse of "do so if absolutely necessary." That window is long since gone.

Should mittens be elected, God forbid, he’ll pick up where Zer0 left off, he’s no moderate, he’s a liberal.

You better believe he would. Mitt = Obama.

The real tragedy today is that so many don't see this.

due to Obama/Holder pushing the homosexual agenda.

As I recall this passed the Republican controlled House with a comfortable margin.

We have a lot of Rats in the Republican party.

That was sarcasm on my part. I don’t like to use the sarcasm tag, because I think it should generally be obvious in the sarcastic statements made...

I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see the end result being no family member benefits for anyone, period. Active duty member only.

No problem. Mitt Romney is Obama lite. According to Mitt’s fans, one of the main reasons (if not the #1 reason) they vote for him is his perceived electability. So, the fact that Mitt Romney is the antithesis of conservatism is irrelevant so long as he has nice hair and might actually be electable. Boy do these Mittbots have a surprise coming when Mitt, in the very unfortunate circumstance he’s elected, doubles down on big government.

They are so worried about personnel costs in the DOD and now this. If they decide to offer benefits to same sex “partners” they'll have to do the same to every opposite sex shack up. It's going to be interesting at the BX and Commissary in a few years.

I haven't seen anything yet in the BX or commissary. They have started to make cuts on personnel moves. The time they will pay for temporary housing has gone down.

“Say goodbye to the All Volunteer force then.”

Not just that- it could make a conscript force untenable. Why would any decent person fight for a country that allows the sodomites to marry, to parade their degeneracy in the streets, etc.? You get a bunch of unwilling draftees and military efficiency will drop considerably, if not stop altogether.
