We all need to get off the birth thing and onto the other aspects of Obama's biography — Ayers and Dohrn and all the rest.
Because it's highly likely that the birth thing is a blind alley and a waste of time. More than likely, he was indeed born in Hawaii, and the BC he gave out will turn out to match the one on file at the Hawaii Department of Health. Of course, you could go the alternative con law route instead and press the argument he isn't natural born because of his father. But the Supreme Court is not going to go with that interpretation after all this time.
There is an election that must be won, and there are no magic bullets. Certainly not birtherism!

It's probably not forged. The Sheriff presented the layers argument. However, that was shot down almost a year ago. When you use the software tools that were used on that document, you get the kinds of effects the Sheriff meticulously documented. To be sure, they are there, but they don't add up to forgery.
Remember, there is an original on file in Hawaii. If the document Obama gave out were ever shown not to match that original in all material facts asserted, the game would be up. Obama and his lawyers know that. But if they do match, then the only recourse is to impeach the original on file. And, given the passage of time, that's likely not doable either.

That is precisely how that question should be answered. But you would need access to the full pile of federal records. You would need to dig in and find other SSS registrations submitted from that post office in that time frame. Then you could see if any of them have or do not have missing 19s, and you could also compare other details on the stamps and the rest of the forms.
However, to cite the fact that nobody else's registration has surfaced proves nothing, since obviously there is no reason for anybody else's to have surfaced.

The great and wonderful Obama—always honest, always upstanding—does everything right. But always, always he’s a victim of circumstances beyond his control. In this case, he had the long-odds of having a “broken” date stamp used on his form. Poor, poor Obama! The guy just can’t catch a break.

How did I do that? You suggested comparing Obama's SSS registration to others. I agreed with you. However, you implied the comparison had already been done, with negative results. That's manifestly false, since the relevant registrations remain locked away in the Federal Records Center, and the fact that none have "surfaced" proves nothing one way or the other.
