Get ready for four more long years of Chairman Obama. Blame the Washington establishment and no one else.

Depressing but, hopefully, we will see a growing number of conservatives in Congress during the remainder of a lame-duck Obama second term.

How about this? Obama wins and that will increase the number of conservatives in the House and Senate as has happened every election under this Marxist/democrat Obama and his dismal record on the economy. Then Scalia and Thomas hold out for 4 years . and in 2016 President Sarah Palin.

All of that is far more realistic than Mitt Romney being elected and governing as a conservative.

The reason to vote for Romney over Obama is that Romney will nominate by accident Supreme Court Justices who are far better than Kagan or Sotomayor; far, far better.

But, there is a scenario where Romney moves the court to the left. Anthony Kennedy has said he won't retire with a Democrat in the White House. But, he likely will if Romney is President. It's not all that unlikely that Romney could give us a second David Souter in that scenario.

Wow..
It’s astonishing (and disappointing) how many clueless people decided to post on this thread. Rush “going wobbly”, etc.
I listened to Rush’s show today and after he admitted that Romney talks a good talk, he made it very clear he doesn’t know if Romney can be trusted.

Nothing “wobbly” about Rush.

All polls are always correct - especially as they relate to IL and to the TEA party folks (do I need the sarc tag?).

Who else are the non-democrats (including those of the TEA party) going to vote for - the not conservative, the seldomly occasional conservative, the conveniently conservative or everyone’s favorite crazy uncle? (Match categories with faces as you see fit.)

Get a grip on what? The fact that the media is playing us? I already have a grip on that.

Where did that 47% number come from?

There are 4 names to choose from. Remember this is Illinois - how many of that alleged 47% voted for Obama last time? I don’t believe a word of it.

If, however, 47% of those who support the TEA party voted for Romney and are representative of the whole country, we are well and truly screwed.

Not sure what “secular” group you’re talking about.

The 47% came from CNN Exit polls the night of the primaries in IL.

I have no idea how many, of that 47% of the Tea Party voters, voted for Obama the first time. Seems to me the answer would be none, but I have no knowledge that the question was asked.

The secular group is the Tea Party itself. The Tea Party refuses to acknowledge our Creator. That is atheistic secularism (and un-American) and, hence, doomed to failure in policy and practice and prosperity. And, they have failed even more quickly than I believed they would.

It simply goes to show you, God has cut this nation off from grace and only massive amounts of prayer can even alleviate the punishment we are receiving and will continue to receive until this nation truly repents and begs for mercy as a whole.

We surely have over-stepped our boundaries in the slaughter of 53+ million little boys and girls...and that's a conservative number, considering a few states don't even report their numbers they are killing.

The Abortion rate in some places in this nation has gotten as high as 76%.

We must remember these numbers do not include the abortions caused by the abortificient drugs, so we're probably talking about well over 100 million little innocent defenseless boys and girls slaughtered to satisfy our obligation to Satanic sacrifice.

Without the sanctity and dignity of the human person being acknowledged, Mors Vincit Omnia - Death Conquers All.

Without God, our Creator, we deny the sanctity and dignity of the human person. The Tea Party denies the Truth. The Republican Party is denying the Truth.

God is not going to let the evil continue, that is clearly evident. Not only in thousands and thousands of years of proof and prophesy, but also in recent proofs that these prophesies are all coming to fulfillment now and God's warnings are coming to full fruition.

The cliche should not be, “It's the economy, stupid!”

The cliche should be, “It's the loss of God's grace, reprobates.”

TV and the internet are two completely different media. Tv is tightly controlled and exists only to make you watch commercials and to brainwash you into thinking that Katie Couric and the rest know what’s best for you. It is as unrealistic to think that we can take over the RINO party, as it is to think that we can have any effect upon those in power if we don’t both cease, to ingest their filth and paying for it. It is not a sentiment any more that changing you diet is. I’m just advocating a mental diet change. And it can be done.

Rush is just keeping his options open. He cannot say anything negative about Romney, no matter how much he would like to, because if Romney is the eventual nominee, Rush will support him. Obama must be defeated at all costs. Unfortunately, that might mean a less than desirable candidate.

Did you see on Drudge that Bob Dole says that Santorum should drop out? LOL!

i swa the drudge story from dole. (sigh!)
but rush doesn’t HAVE to endorse a candidate at all. sometimes you just have to stand your ground and say ‘this far I cannto go” the party seems to have the attitude that we’ll vote for whomever they decide to trot before us. I will NOT vote for romney. period. I told the RNC that. that far I cannot go.

I got a little hot-headed in my rant, Richard, so I’m apologizing, and I got off track of what the subject was about. I guess I am just sick and tired of the GOP and a change is desperately needed, but I see no way to work through the mire of the party upper echelon as it stands now.

“The 47% came from CNN Exit polls the night of the primaries in IL.”

CNN - ‘nuff said. Don’t believe it. They’re playing you.

There is no “Tea Party” - yet. There are groups CALLING themselves “Tea Party”, but they don’t necessarily speak for the TEA party.

The TEA “party” is ordinary Americans who are fed up with an overly intrusive and increasingly oppressive government. They’re tired of having the results of their hard labor taken from them and inefficiently redistributed to those who won’t help themselves. They are Baptists, Catholics, Lutherans, Episcopalians, agnostics, athiests, muslims, non-religious, democrats (although they’d never admit they are), libertarians, republicans, black, white, yellow, green, blue, brown, etc., etc.

It is not a non-secular party, because, as a political “Party” it doesn’t exist.

I can assure you, that when the TEA Party becomes an official political party to challenge the Republicans, it will be based on the founding principles of this country - including Creator-based, unalienable rights - and will work to make sure that God and common sense are allowed to return to our government and education institutions.

My proposal stands. I suggest that we need to control our thoughts and thereby eventually the process. Getting TV out of our lives is a good place to start. But we should realize that getting rid of the Great Pretender is absolutely necessary, whether it’s Romney or whomever.

Okay, most of us here already have TV out of our lives, we don't subject ourselves to the liberal narrative. There is a far larger faction of society that simply doesn't care and it's through them that the MSM thrives. It may not be what it once was in its heyday, but they're not going down as long as we've got disengaged people. WE know what to do, but the rest of them don't and if they did, they don't care.
