Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (NYSE-RGR), announced today that for the first quarter 2012, the Company has received orders for more than one million units. Therefore, the Company has temporarily suspended the acceptance of new orders.
Chief Executive Officer Michael O. Fifer made the following comments:
The Companys Retailer Programs that were offered from January 1, 2012 through February 29, 2012 were very successful and generated significant orders from retailers to independent wholesale distributors for Ruger firearms. Year-to-date, the independent wholesale distributors placed orders with the Company for more than one million Ruger firearms. Despite the Companys continuing successful efforts to increase production rates, the incoming order rate exceeds our capacity to rapidly fulfill these orders. Consequently, the Company has temporarily suspended the acceptance of new orders.

Go see Chuck in Edgewood.... He has dies etc...
Sorry about that....did not mean to repeat that post...no matter how much I do like the SR40 :)
I recently bought the Ruger SR-556. Super high quality but the trigger is unimpressive for my liking. Awesome piece overall.
Got too many shotgun presses to add another hobby.
Hopefully not orders from DHS.
Lol.... Okie dokie...
Mr. K, I have been looking for a long time for a semi-automatic .410 shotgun. I've patrolled the aisles of various gun shows but have never seen one, neither could I get any info from the dealers at these shows.
I'd like to get one for Mr. OldPossum. I figured it would be one helluva defensive home weapon.
Have you seen one?
I’m glad I got mine in December :)
Sloppy of me. That would be “Mrs. OldPossum.”
I guess people are excited about 2012.
It’s a good handgun. Get regular practice so you are as familiar with it as you are with your own name.
Yep - I’ve got a P90 (.45 ACP).
