Last weekend in the city of Chicago alone, gangbangers slaughtered ten people and wounded another forty. The youngest fatality is only six years old. The youngest person wounded is only one-year-old. Many of the victim were pedestrians sprayed with bullets in drive by shootings. The national news has said nothing about this.
So why does one shooting in Florida warrant weeks of national news? Why has there been thousands of articles a day, for the last four days, about one single shooting?
Almost all of the news items about George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin contains a combination of false statements, opinions presented as facts, transparent distortions, and a complete absence of some of the most relevant details. Almost all news items are written soley from the point of view of the grieving family. The media also fills their articles with outdated baby-faced pictures of Trayvon. Very few include that he was a towering 6'2” football player. Is the media really reporting the news, or is this classic agitation/propaganda to advance a political agenda.

In Oklahoma, an 85 year old woman was raped and murdered, while her 90 year old husband was beaten into a coma. Both lived through the depression and the dust bowl years. He apparently served in the 101st Airborne during WW II.
This country allows the circumstances to exist that would make it even possible that these two old people could be attacked by these savages. I find the evil behind this story, these actions to be completely unfathomable. And yet all the media wants to do is highlight their little angel Trayvon.
America has gone insane or the media is trying to drive her insane.

No, I don't, but for God's sake, did he have to kill the attacker (assuming that Martin attacked him)? Was Zimmerman's life in danger? A warning shot would have been sufficient.

Yes, but you have to admit that the reactions here are also shaded by attitudes to racial and firearm issues, and deeply held beliefs and prejudices about these things.
Your a lawyer, you should check the facts before making a comment like that. Listen to all the 911 tapes and police transcripts. It has been reported that while following Martin, Zimmerman lost site of Martin and was headed back to his truck when Martin jumped him. Check out the size difference between Zimmerman and Martin. Zimmerman was screaming for help while Martin was pounding him. This was witnessed by more than one individual.
A warning shot is a valid point, but only if the person is away from you, and that’s assuming he was brandishing. In a close up struggle where you are getting pounded, squeezing off a warning shot after barely being able to get your weapon might end up being a fatal shot anyway.
No but it certainly shows that the media is willfully lying out of their ass.
Out of curiosity do you not want both sides of the story?
Does anyone know if an autopsy is a matter of public record? We can definitely find out his height and weight after this is released. And I’m sure if Zimmerman goes to any kind of trial, his lawyer will get it in discovery.

Zimmerman committed a homicide.
It has been judged justifiable homicide up to now by the local prosecutor.
With this having become a racial cause celebre, it is not unlikely to end up going to trial. If that happens, and if Zimmerman is found guilty, then there will have been a murder.
Obama was quick to call Sandra Fluke and comfort her.
When did he call Trayvon’s mom?
