LOL. If a Rep were in the WH, the MSM would be blaming him just like they did Bush. Now, according to the MSM, a President has no control over oil prices. Right now, the Dems in Congress are going after Wall Street speculators.

A Gallup poll this month found 85 percent of U.S. adults believe the president and Congress "should take immediate actions to try to control the rising price of gas." The public, who thinks everything to be given or taken should be by the hands of government.
EGPWS says "get government the hell out of the way and let business take care of business"!
It's obvious that we have failed as a nation of personal freedoms for most feel that government should make ALL decisions and take ALL actions.

The AP is going all out to get Obama re-elected. I would guess that the internal poll numbers must be very bad if they are putting forth this much effort.

LOL! When gas prices exceeded $2.50, under President Bush, the MSM knew exactly who to blame, and did it, unceasingly, so the public would follow them.

A Gallup poll this month found 85 percent of U.S. adults believe the president and Congress "should take immediate actions to try to control the rising price of gas. Amazingly the AP could not find one person to interview who was part of the 85%. Obama excusers were everywhere they turned.

A few weeks ago on NBC Nightly News they said gas was rising because of the booming economy. Local stations say the same thing.

Just to clarify things, I've been putting this sticker on gas pumps:
"Somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the [$8-$10/gal] levels in Europe." - Barack Obama's Energy Secretary Steve Chu. Had enough yet???

Does anyone really think the oil companies want to drill more to reduce the price of gas? I’m sure they are maximizing their profits in the way they operate. It seems to be working pretty well for them. Having the government force them to drill is out of the question. Only alternative competition will reduce the price of gas. And that is without priority. Marketers rule. BOHICA.

Lets face it .... this administration is very effective at deflecting and laying down so called "plausible" arguments against any accusation thrown at it. Doesn't matter if it is true or not ..... all they have to do is create a perception that the media back them up with. Next step is to repeat it often enough that it WILL become the common understanding of the reason.
In the mean time ... the GOP is relying solely upon conservative talk show hosts to vent the GOP side of the argument. Unfortunately .... they are talking and preaching mainly to the proverbial choir. And in the meantime .... the actual candidates that are seeking to dethrone president are talking about the important issue of the Etch-a-Sketch... At least that is all that the public is hearing.
I wonder if the GOP has a "Plan-B" in the event that gas prices go down and the perception of the economy and the unemployment numbers improve before the general election. Never underestimate your opponent.

Dear American Petroleum Institute; 85% of Americans have no idea where gasoline comes from or how it’s produced.
