Casey Anthony getting baptized, wants to see Caylee in heaven
Examiner ^ | 03/22/2012 | Bruce Baker

In the latest news on Casey Anthony, the "Tot Mom" is getting baptized to ensure her salvation and to see her daughter Caylee in heaven one day. In a twist of irony, the 26-year-old reportedly alerted the media of her intentions. Recall she is serving time in an undisclosed location in Florida on check fraud after being exonerated of murdering her daughter?

Love or hate her, Anthony is back in the news. After her high-profile murder trial in the death of Caylee resulted in a not-guilty verdict, she was ordered to serve probation for one-year in the Sunshine State on unrelated charges. For protection, her defense team thought it was necessary that she kept a low-profile.

While a few Casey Anthony sightings surfaced on the Internet, she has largely been absent from the public's eye, except for a few "leaked videos online." The 26-year-old (in this photo), who was seen with a new hairdo, a new puppy, and nose bling, claims she did not authorize the release of her private "video diary."

Now, sources close to the infamous mom say she is turning a "new leaf" in her life by embracing religion.

"Casey has planned to get baptized sometime this month. Casey believes that Caylee is with God now and wants to ensure her own salvation so that she'll see her daughter again someday." ~ Inside source for RadarOnline

When I first heard of this, I was annoyed because I thought this might just be a stunt... But at the end of the day, God can’t be fooled. If this is a step for her to come to Jesus and ask for forgiveness, who am I to judge.... And if it isn’t, God will deal with it.

1 Peter 3:21 makes my point: and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also...

The water baptism is symbolic of the baptism by the Holy Spirit.

We'll have to agree to disagree on this one.

I am reading “Imperfect Justice”by Jeff Aston..If you wnat to find out what a crazy bitch this is read this book..She lied from the time they first talked to her and continued to lie..Most of the stuff in this book was not allowed in the trial..I never watched the trial except for the news clips and the day the brain dead jury let this murdering person go..

If you see the rest of the story you will know this crazy liar killed that little girl..

now she is looking for more publicity by getting baptized..IS SHE GOING TO CONFESS HER SINS?

I’m disappointed at the uncharitable comments posted by FReepers. I assume they also call themselves Christians. Wow....prayers needed for many around here.

I think you will find more of us disagreeing with you than agreeing with you. If as you say, “ANY path to salvation MUST include baptism” Then my Dad who gave his heart to the Lord and said the sinners prayer days before passing away in Hospice, never made it. He burns. Soldiers and accident victims in their last moments of life with a priest or minister leaning over them asking if their heart is right with God, are wasting their last breaths responding if they were never baptized.

“ANY path to salvation MUST include baptism.”

Do you mean water baptism?

I would think differently if the media found out Casey had been baptized and reported on it.

No, Casey Anthony notified the media that she intends to be baptized.

Casey is doing what Casey does.

She reported it to the media which means she was looking for public opinion.

I thank you for your prayers.

Amen.

“The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ . . .” I Peter 3:21

"Read I Peter 3:21" that verse supports Sandy's position more than yours.

Sadly, you’re likely correct that she is shopping for publicity. However, I do not know her heart. Perhaps her intent is pure.

I’m referring to the comments damning her & wishing her harm.

Jesus came for the sinner and not the ‘self righteous/religous’ on the radio.

You are right. Prideful men want a little credit, but when we claim to add anything to salvation, even baptism, we diminish Christ’s atoning work on the cross. Scripture teaches that salvation from beginning to end is of the Lord. He is the author and finisher of our faith.

"No, Casey Anthony notified the media that she intends to be baptized."

Be careful. The Examiner is a very weak source. This may or may not be true but I'm not going to consider it a fact based on The Examiner. I will only say anyone can obtain savation by repenting and accepting in their heart Jesus as their personal Savior - even Ms. Anthony.

Ummm No.

ANY path to salvation MUST include baptism.

Only in the Catholic church, because baptism is one of their works based sacraments.
