Darn. I thought it was the WH.

Their vote in the U.N. General Assembly is worth exactly as much as the U.S.

Another African $hithole. Wouldn’t be surprised if we end up there.

As another post earlier mentioned the rebels in Mali got a big boost from the fallout in Libya.

Mali had a coup back in the early 1990s that really did establish a Democratic form of government.
The Islamic insurgancy in the North has been building for years and if the pro-Democracy forces in the South are the ones who led this coup, then it could be another chance for Democracy.
Maybe. Possibly. But “wait and see” is still the prudent thing to do.

lol.
Malia has led a coup and is now running the US!
Couldn’t be worse than we have now.

The north part of the country, centered around Timbuctou, is Muslim, almost 100%. The southern part of the country, centered around Bamako (the capital), is a mix of Christian and Muslim, and is very moderate in their views.
The northern region has been stirring up problems for years now and the violence and lawlessness has creeped further and further south.

If we had a military Coup, the Totus would call it a Coupe.

I found a YouTube with a recent Miss Mali beauty contestant who is a student at Utah Valley College. Some enterprising journalist should ask her to comment.
"Good golly, Miss Mali, what do you think of this coup?"
