(Reuters) - The city manager of Sanford, Florida, where a neighborhood watch leader shot and killed an unarmed teen, called a news conference on Thursday amid demands for an arrest in the case and a vote of no confidence for the police chief.
The press conference at Sanford City Hall was called by City Manager Norton Bonaparte Jr., who was expected to discuss developments in the highly charged case.
The killing of Trayvon Martin, 17, an African American, by neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman, 28, a white Hispanic, has drawn national attention and sparked debate over Florida's "Stand Your Ground" law since Zimmerman has claimed self-defense. Police thus far have declined to arrest him.
On Wednesday, Martin's parents joined hundreds of demonstrators gathered in a New York park to demand an arrest in the shooting death.
At the same time, in Florida, Sanford's city commissioners passed a motion of "no confidence" in Police Chief Bill Lee Jr., who has said the department acted properly in not arresting Zimmerman.
But it's up to Bonaparte, not the commission, to decide whether or not to fire Lee.

Something very strange is going on with this case. It’s gaining national attention but very little is actually happening outside of marches and discussions on TV. I think the MSM is deliberately trying to blow this up into a bigger issue.

The 90 year old war veteran husband was beaten, his jaw broken, shot in the face with a BB gun and now barely clings to life.
The 85 year old partially blind wife was raped and beaten to death.

A 20 year old black man raped a 85 year old white woman and then beat her to death in front of her 90 year old husband this week. He was beaten to unconsciousness and shot in the face with a BB gun by Mr. Tyrone Woodfork who was later caught driving the elderly couple’s stolen car. Where is Al Sharpton? Not in Oklahoma.

Yes. Originally the story referred to the man as 'white' and killing a 'black' teen.
Once it was revealed that he was 'hispanic', the MSM was instructed to keep the 'white' reference in, NO MATTER WHAT, to ensure that the sheeple believed it was WHITE on BLACK.
If you don't believe me, then just do a google search and read the various articles. They now all refer to him as a 'white hispanic', even though that phrase has NEVER been used in recorded history.

Liberals were having a problem with the fact that there is rarely a white on black/hispanic hate crime. So they played around with the FBI statistics to tweak “white” hate crimes. This is why black on white hate crimes are rarely described and prosecuted as such.

The Con Black Caucus will be calling for an investigation of all cases in all states involving the stand you ground or castle doctrine and whether or not the shooting was racially motivated and the police covered it up.

A young white couple was kidnapped by a gang of 5 blacks, raped, and tortured for two days before they were cut up, burned and tossed away in garbage bags.
This was covered up by the MSM.

Standford Police detective have already said that Zimmerman was on the ground and being beaten by the 6’ 2” football player, that Zimmerman was calling for help, and that those calls were recorded by 911 AND that Zimmerman had both facial injuries and was bleeding from the back of his head when they arrived on the scene.
