You’re calling me a racist because I’ve changed my mind after reading the reports and listening to the 911 calls. Sorry, buddy, but I’m not. You throwing out the race card kinda makes me think you might be a troll.
Mr. Zimmerman by law doesn’t have “mind his own business” when it comes having burglaries happen in his neighborhood and then seeing suspicious-acting, unknown, people in his gated community.
Where did Mr. Zimmerman get the bloody nose? Where did he get the wet grass on the back side of his body? Both of those we observed and written down by the cops. Let’s go ahead and call them racist, too! Why was Mr. Zimmerman screaming for help?
Trayvon took off running away down the street from Mr. Zimmerman? From what I can see from the reports as soon as Mr. Zimmerman lost contact with Trayvon he hung up with 911 and headed back to his truck but never made it. Now how was it possible that Mr. Zimmerman found him? Or was it Trayvon found him? From what I can see Trayvon went around one of the condo buildings and doubled back. He jumped Mr. Zimmerman and attacked him. Trayvon had Mr. Zimmerman down on his back on the wet grass beating the snot out him while Mr. Zimmerman yelled for help. Did you listen to Mr. Zimmerman yelling for help on 911 call #3 or are you deaf? His screaming/yelling indicates to me he was in great distress to the point that his life was in danger. Was Mr. Zimmerman really attacking himself? Is there any indication of injuries sustained to Trayvon by Mr. Zimmerman? Would you please show us the reports of that if you think that’s what happened?

I have to tell you. Based on the media I have heard about this (before today), I also assumed Zimmerman to be a nut that went looking for trouble.
I have now listened to the 911 calls, read all the reports, the hisotry of the neighborhood, etc that I can find. My mind has now changed. Both of you have embellished some scenarios beyond what has been reported as fact.
If you stay objective and just read the facts and especially listen to all the 911 calls as well as the police reports, you might find yourself scratching your head about the outrage (unless your are for some reason predisposed to assume racism on the part of all white people).
Unless an otherwise logical person is predisposed to assume racism in this case, I see no way to consider this a hate issue or crime. Where in the hell is the media connecting dots that makes this case such an outrage? Is it that the 6’3” 200 lb 17 year old didn’t have a weapon?
Can we get back to objective logic here? I keep a close eye on my neighborhood too. Especially since my wife’s SUV was broken into and my next door neighbor’s house was burglarized in the middle of the day. I can see myself calling 911 (and I have). I would also try to keep tabs on what was going on if I felt the was a potential threat in my neighborhood. Does that make me racists? What if the subject I am suspicious is also black, hispanic, white or asian? Am I still racist?
