President Barack Obama weighed in on the "tragedy" of Trayvon Martin's death last week, saying it is "absolutely imperative" that all levels of government investigate "every aspect" of how the unarmed boy was shot.
"I can only imagine what these parents are going through," Obama said, adding "When I think about this boy I think about my own kids."
"I am glad that not only is the Justice Department is looking into this, but the Governor of the State of Florida has put together a task force [to investigate the case]," Obama said. Obama carefully avoided any discussion of George Zimmerman, the man who shot Martin, and has controversially avoided arrest under Florida's "Stand Your Ground" self-defense laws.
"My main message is to the parents: If I had a son he'd look like Trayvon. I think they are right to expect that all of us as Americans are going to take this with the seriousness it deserves."
I know very few facts about this event, but I heard that the boy was wearing a hood, similar to the one in the photo, at the time of the shooting. People, it’s hot in the South now, especially in Florida. If somebody covers himself with a hood, it’s probably not because he’s cold. He’s up to something.

What a deceitful, divisive jerk Obama is. And as usual, it’s all about him.
I quit watching television due to the cynical way it treats you and me. All of us just sit there and take it, and that’s fine (if a waste of time) when only some silly series is at risk.
Here we have a degraded Presidency that views the American People as cynically as any sitcom writer, only the stakes are HIGH. We all know what it says about Obama to hear him say absurd things like this, but what does it say about Americans to just sit there and take it?
It’s bad enough that the ever-enterprising `Reverend’ Al is involved. You would think he’d have Korean shopkeepers to persecute.
But for the president of the USA to `stick his oar in,’ now that’s really remarkable and not at all helpful for the matter.
It reminds me of him half-cocked calling the policeman “stupid”. He has really lousy judgment. We knew that, I just didn’t know how bad.

I don't think Trayvon is looking too good right now. And things are only going to deteriorate.
That's true because to Obama this is nothing more than a campaign event.

That does not constitute a ringing endorsement of Mr. Zimmerman or his actions.
He was on suspension from school for 5 days...which is why he was near Orlando, instead of the Miami area, where he typically lived.
To my knowledge, nobody has released any information as to why he was on suspension.
It took much less time than I thought for the agitator-in-Chief to stick his stupid,racist foot in this one.
I thought he’d let his lackey’s in the MSM build up for a couple weeks, then have Holder get involved, and finally, he himself seek political gain only much later. You know, try and come off as a racial “healer.”
Obama must be really desperate - he went right for it .
