Oh, and:

Post the Florida statute that was violated by Zimmerman, and the evidence released to the public that supports probable cause Zimmerman violated that statute.

Apparently I have to do your homework for you.

FLORIDA STATUTES

784.048 Stalking; definitions; penalties.—

(2) Any person who willfully, maliciously, and repeatedly follows, harasses, or cyberstalks another person commits the offense of stalking, a misdemeanor of the first degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or s. 775.083.

Please support your claim that Zimmerman stalked Martin.

The man's statement was, the man who wrote the Florida stand your ground law. Who said it was zimmermans statement, only you. The writer of the law says his law did not cover zimmerman. That is the fact of the article.

Your whole line of questioning is biased....Your calling one 'a guy' and the other 'a kid'......they were both guys...no "Kid" about it.......Additionally you're using the phrase "armed" guy......and calling his behavior out as the "weird" one. When in fact Zimmerman had been explaining to the police the behavior of the "kid" as being suspicious...and a matter of record.

Further... you stated "Obvious" the "kid" got the upper hand..... How do you know?...It could very well be the so called "kid" attacked Zimmerman as he was getting into his SUV, as has been suggested is what happened and he never had a chance to defend himself other than as stated.

So your comment would suggest you may already be taking the verbiage bait being feed by the media....and as much your grandson....when it would be a perfect time to explain that verbiage matters in the message given....and that media does not have the facts and neither do we.

I think I jut stumbled upon something by reading another post. It’s based on the phone calls.

Zimmerman tells the dispatcher Martin is running, and exits the truck to follow.

Zimmerman tells the dispatcher he’s lost sight of Martin (which is corroborated by Martin who tells his girlfriend he’s lost Zimmerman).

The scuffle ensues (you can hear it).

Zimmerman never caught Martin. In fact both admit he lost Martin. How was he supposed to initiate violence? He didn’t even know where Martin was.

The mob mentality even came from our President and politicians ready to "take sides"....so the race war Obama wants is certainly being fanned by him and those ready to call Zimmerman guilty....as well as what the police did or did not do.

Proof of Obama's race-baiting: when the Muslim American soldier went on a killing spree on a U.S. base, Obama demanded that we not rush to judgement on the shooter.

excellent point...

I've been OUT OF THE LOOP on this story since it first started... just been TOO busy and out of the country...

Seems to me to be a LOT of ambiguity about what happened... and yet, everyone is ready to hang Zimmerman.

One thing I haven't seen anywhere: Why WAS Martin in the area? Did he live there?

The evidence available certainly more supports this assertion than disproves it.

I suspect when more information is released, we very well may find this was the case.

It’s been stated 6 witnesses claim Zimmerman was about to get into his truck after Martin ran out of sight when Martin jumped him from behind and started to beat Zimmerman in the face and head.

If so this is hardly a racist issue and that will surely come to light over time.

You were not clear about who's statement you were talking about. You said "You have not read the mans statement, here it is." I assumed you meant Zimmerman.

But for the law you mention to not cover this case, it would have to be determined that Zimmerman's actions fit the definition of stalking. So I'll leave that for the courts.

Martin's girlfriend reports that she heard a conversation on the phone:

When did the 16yo girlfriend report hearing this conversation?

Did she report it to Sanford PD at the time Martin was killed or several weeks later after Sanford PD concluded their investigation and the Martin family lawyers went looking for some 'new' evidence?

I also heard the teen was on suspension from school and that this was far away from his house after 2 am in the morning in a neighborhood recently hit hard by crime.
Did the Martin’s know where there son was, give emission to be out like this and were they negligent prates?
Did this teen have a juvenile record?

Okay, I'll try again, this time without the bad word. (Sorry, admin.)

It’s been stated 6 witnesses claim Zimmerman was about to get into his truck after Martin ran out of sight when Martin jumped him from behind...

That is BS. I have read all the witness statements and listened to the 911 calls. No one said they saw that. All of the witnesses' stories start when the screaming started.

So give us a link or take it back.

There is already enough misinformation on these threads -- we don't need more people making stuff up.

the 911 operator told him to stand down

Not really.
He wasn't ordered not to follow the suspicious individual.
He was advised they didn't need him to do that.
.

Can you envision any circumstance in which law enforcement
would advise a concerned citizen to follow a "suspicious" individual?

I can't.

I'd not be surprised if it's standard procedure to council against following a suspicious individual.
As helpful as it might be to the police to have the suspicious individual followed
in order that they would know where to find him,
it would leave them open to liability if, as MAY be the case here,
the suspicious individual was to attack and injure the concerned citizen.

I do not know when this was reported. It was conveyed publicly by an attorney for Martin’s family, and I assume it was also been given to the police. The attorney says the girl’s family wishes to remain anonymous (understandably.) Since the story does not contradict Zimmerman’s claim of self-defense - in fact, it tends to corroborate it to the extent that her account shows Martin initiating contact (verbal.)

Trayvon Martin was a kid … a minor child, under the age of majority. He would have been seen by a pediatrician in a medical setting.

They were nowhere near the SUV which was parked on the street. The incident happened on the footpath behind the buildings.

The armed guy, George Zimmerman (aka: the Zman on this thread) racially profiled Trayvon from the get-go. What was so suspicious about Trayvon’s behavior that he felt it necessary to call the police? How did he immediately come to the conclusion that Trayvon was up to no good and that he was on drugs or something? Was it because Trayvon was looking at the buildings as he walked past them? When George commented that ‘they always get away’, what did he mean? Did he assume that Trayvon was a robber because he was a person of color? Why did George mutter “f’ing c**n” when he exited his vehicle to run after Trayvon? Why did George originally agree to meet the police by the mailboxes, then request that they call him when they arrive at the complex, so he could give them his location? Why does everyone believe, without question, George's story that Trayvon attacked him. Does everyone also believe that George, who claimed to have a squeaky clean record, was the victim in all his domestic abuse incidents?

I need to see the layout of the community again, including all exits. Z might have returned to the only way out after losing TM. If he posted himself there, TM might have felt like he needed to confront Z on his way out. Just speculating. The layout of the place might be critical to understanding where they went, the sightlines, exits, etc.

“Why are people blaming an innocent CHILD for being shot to death? Wearing a hoodie,...”

Looking at the whole episode, the unarmed minor boy appears to have been pursued by an armed white hispanic adult; the self-appointed neighborhood watch vigilante copper wannabee.

Neighborhood watch holds no legal police powers, and police told the pursuer to not pursue.

The teen turned to defend himself against the pursuing armed man, the teen was getting the better of the fight, so the armed pursuer used his firearm.

Hoodies are worn extensively by youth of all races. Hoodies are very polular with “surf culture’ clothing, with sets trends worldwide, as an examply.

Billabong, Hurley, Volcom, and other companies for example. Mid-priced chains like Target and Kohl’s carry lines of these styles.

If I lived in the complex, I’d advise the Homeowner’s Association to scrub any mention of Neighborhood Watch from their minutes.

Having said all that, the race exploitation by all the usual suspects is predictable. That we have a Potus who wants/needs to be a civil rights superstar is sadly what we are stuck with.

I sure don’t want four more years.

Zimmerman followed, but on the tape within a minute or two was winded. He turned around when it was clear the kid was getting away.

An eyewitness saw the fight...but not the start...but the teenager was on top of Zimmerman and wailing on him...beating him. It was Zimmerman calling for help.

He says after he turned arouud, that he was attacked. I believe him. He has been doing this neighborhood watch thing for some time and has never “attacked” anyone.

Fact is, in the end, he was being beaten by this teenager and if he feared for his life...and given his screams for help, it sounded like he did. Those were not, IMHO, faked. So, fearing for his life and understanding no help was coming, he used his weapon.

The investigation needs to go through and produce the hard evidence about what happened...but at the least we already know from Zimmerman’s lawyer that he suffered a broken nose in the pummeling he took. If he actually did defend himself, then IMHO, he should not be tried for any murder.

Yes, but was he making that statement based on what he had heard from the nedia, or from the circumstances that are now coming out about the case.

For example, that apparently Zimmerman had stopped following the teenager (he was clearly winded after just a minute or two) and was returning to his car when he was attacked. An eye witness who saw them fighting puts Trayvon on top of Zimmerman and beating him pretty soundly about the head and face.

We now know that it was Zimmerman who was heard screaming for help onm the 911 tape, when none came, he apparently feared for his life and used his gun.

We shall see what the grand jury does and we shall see what other facts that the MSM is not broadcasting come out.

Williamson is about hearsay evidence. It in no way restricts an accused from testifying in his own defense, and Zimmerman would be quite entitled to tell his story to the jury whether or not it was corroborated.
