What's At Stake: Twenty of the state's 46 delegates are up for grabs Saturday, divided proportionately among all candidates who receive more than 25 percent of the vote in the state. only 1% percent of the votes in Looks like FNC is calling it for Santorum

Of course, either Rick or Mitt they support/one and the same team.

“I read here where Rick has many very negative ads against Newt. I thought he had no money besides no character.”

I’m sure Rick has money coming in after his latest wins. I don’t think he is wasting his money on Newt since his threat is from Romeny. Feel sure that’s where his money is going.

Doubt if Newt can raise money after this one.

Huckabee and that woman judge or whatever she is, said the same thing tonight. They tore Santorum to pieces, making fun of him and praising Romney.

We had to turn it off.

Down to 39 outstanding—including 19 from Jefferson, 4 from Orleans, and 6 from East Baton Rouge, all of which are among Santorum’s weakest areas. He may just drop below 49.00

Looking at the Congressional Districts, it appears Santorum carried everyone, since the 3rd (Most of NO) absorbed the 7th (Central LA) and Romney’s margins aren’t anywhere near enough to offset it. And the 1st (parts of NO includes parts on the northern shore of the Lake).

So now the question is what will the delegates do on June 2?

(1) Ignore the Primary Results
(2) Make the CD’s WTA and give Santorum all 3
(3) Make the CD’s Proportional and Give Santorum 12 and Romney 6

Option 3 is what they’ll probably go with I’d suspect, meaning Romney will get 13 delegates out of LA, enough to keep him on pace for 1,144.

HE IS!! It wasn't my thought but one who lives there and reported it. Wasting his money? That's what he has been doing all along - attacking Newt.

One outstanding from Jefferson—can’t tell which one, as 10 have no Republican votes recorded. I see that Gingrich carried a precinct in the Parish -number 212A- with 100% of the vote (1).

I am sorry it’s taking so long to get this eye work done, but this too shall pass and you will likely be very happy with the results...

As for the election, I am almost done with all of it.

By this time next year, if not sooner, we are going to be a nation in deep in regret.

Worst thing “Judge Janine” said was that Santorum’s anti-Obama ad “Obamaville” was “fear-mongering” and her laughing at it. At least Huckabee gave a weak defense of the ad.

IL is a direct delegate election which is virtually the same as winner-take-all by district. LA is proportional for candidates getting over 25%. Every state has its own rules. Obviously winner-take-all rules of any form mean the winner gets a lot more spoils.

If all states were proportional, it would be basically equivalent to letting the popular vote decide the election. Here is the current % breakdown of popular vote:

Romney: 40.2%
Santorum: 27.8%
Gingrich: 21.5%
Paul: 10.5%

If all states were pure winner-take-all, here is what the delegates would be now. Romney goes up, but Santorum goes up more:

Romney: 625
Santorum: 409
Gingrich: 101
Paul: 0

The current actual delegate counts on RCP:

Romney: 560
Santorum: 254
Gingrich: 141
Paul: 66

“We didn’t lose our country.... we gave her away.”

We had a poor candidate last time and a Muslim/Communist beat him. We have two remainng poor candidates and neither can beat the Muslim/Communist. We won’t know this country by now next year - and the liberals will wonder what happened.

You and I are not of this country anymore - it went somewhere else - we are individuals who will make our own way. As you say, “Just livin’ life, my way”.

One more change though, that hypothetical WTA delegate count still had delegates removed from the penalized states who did WTA too early this year. With those penalized delegates put back in, the counts become the below. Romney is helped out a lot by removal of that penalty. I think that change would raise the threshold to get the nomination to 1,127 delegates:

Romney: 746
Santorum: 409
Gingrich: 126
Paul: 0

Well it’s lopsided at the moment because a bunch of liberal/blue states have voted so far. In May, WV, NC, AR, KY, and TX all vote, and Rick is poised to carry them all.

It may not matter however. WI is virtually do or die for Santorum. If he doesn’t stop Romney here, it won’t matter how good he does anywhere else. He needs to be camped out here between now and April 3rd. If he goes to MD, he should be very specific where he goes (Frederick, Hagerstown, Cumberland, Bel Air/Aberdeen, Salisbury, Ocean City). MD is a waste because Montgomery County is 1000% certain to go Romney and big. I don’t want to see Rick anywhere there when his time will be much better spent in WI. Carrying the 1st and 6th CD’s in MD will be just as much as a victory (especially the 1st) and we’ll see if his performance on the Eastern Shore warrants putting DE in play for him on Apr 24.

Looking at the Demographics, WI is much better suited to Rick than IL was. Rick outperformed Huckabee in IL by nearly doubling his performance, and Huckabee managed 35% in WI last time.

If Santorum cannot beat Obama, please tell me the states Obama carries that gets him to 270 Electoral Votes.

You didn't post to me, but I'll give you an answer.

Judging by the idiots I run into in my day to day activities, I would say all of them.

You can't fix stupid. Truer now than ever before.

People who support Obama practice willful ignorance, AKA “Voluntary Stupidity” to those in the know like us...

“...please tell me the states Obama carries that gets him to 270 Electoral Votes.”

Most people are not informed and vote for the present President if he is on the ticket. That is their comfort zone. Add to that the poor turnout in this Repubican primary season - they don’t care for any of the candidates so millions of Republicans will stay home just like they didn’t vote in the primary.

It is a true fact that more people vote in a presidential year but that didn’t happen in our primaries and that means they won’t vote in the general, either.

That's a long list. My cursory examination shows me that 0bama probably has about 240 EV no matter what, with states like New York, New Jersey, California, Connecticut, Maryland, Delaware, Rhode Island, Vermont, Maine, Illinois, Washington, Oregon, Hawaii, DC, Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, etc.

Throw in a couple more and it's a done deal.

Now, if 0bama shows weakness in any of the above states, then it's a whole new ball game. But the media is propping him up so relentlessly and intensely, it's quite a propaganda machine to overcome.

If the Republican nominee picks Marco Rubio, thereby putting Florida in the GOP column, there's a glimmer of hope, I suppose...
