A friend of George Zimmerman, the man who shot unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Fla., told ABC News today that the voice heard howling on the tape of a 911 call was Zimmerman's, not the teen's.
The man, a black friend of the family who spoke to Zimmerman tonight, told ABC News that Zimmerman was weeping for days after the shooting, which sparked protests across the country, and he insisted that Zimmerman, who is Hispanic, is not a racist.
"We wanted to come forward because allegations of racism just aren't true. His friends speak highly of him," said attorney Greg Sonner, who has been representing Zimmerman for two weeks.
Zimmerman's friend said that the howls heard on the 911 call, which helped galvanize the nation against Zimmerman, in fact belonged to Zimmerman, not Martin.
A witness who saw Martin on top of Zimmerman told ABC News the same: the pleas for help were Zimmerman's.

It occurred the evening of February 26th. The police observed he was bleeding from his nose and a cut on the back of his head. Paramedics attended to him on the scene. His attorney stated later that his nose was broken and the cut on the back required stitches.
No wonder he wasn't arrested.
While it is technically true that Zimmerman was not "arrested," those reports are very misleading. He was immediately handcuffed, taken into custody, and driven downtown for questioning. His gun was placed into evidence, and is still in the Police Departments possession, as are Zimmerman's clothes from that night.
All of these facts would surprise many people who have only read the media narrative, and most people would associate being handcuffed and taken into custody with "arrest" even if it technically was not an arrest.
Yet all of these facts are publicly available to anybody who is interested.

Huh? This thing sure has been changed a lot hasn’t it.
I’m betting that Zimmerman will be tried before Maj Hasan, the muslim terrorist that killed thirteen innocent American soldiers at Ft. Hood over two years ago.
Actually it does, but it helps to see the photo of him modeling his gold teeth, because that picture shows him in between his football jersey years and that pic you are questioning.
In the gold teeth pic, you can see his prominent chin, the nose is the same, the faint moustache is the same, eyebrows are also the same.
There are also multiple other pics showing Martin living the thug life taken from his facebook page, including him flashing gang signs and pics of with with gang language added to them by him.
I would post them for you to see, but as I said to another, we are not to know the truth.

In many parts of the country, if the District Attorney decides to file charges, he can do so without going to a Grand Jury. I suspect this is the case in Sanford. I guess the District Attorney could still go to the grand jury, but that would like telling them that he doesn't trust his own judgement to review a case, and he would rather that they take on the responsibility. If there is some compelling new information that comes forth that casts doubt on Zimmerman's account of the incident, then the District Attorney can still file charges. I would have to believe that the statute of limitations doesn't expire for a long time in this case, depending on what would be charged.
It's anyone's guess what can happen if the Feds get involved, but they may have to also conclude that based on the evidence, Zimmerman's statement, and the statement of the eyewitness that there are no grounds for filing a criminal complaint. So far, I think that the most likely course of action that is going to be taken is for Martin's relatives to file a civil suit against Zimmerman.
To paraphrase the one it seems that ole Treyvon made the mistake of taking only his fists to a gunfight. He should have listened to his messiah.
I’m going to cut the dad a little slack, being interviewed within hours of learning that his son was dead. He didn’t witness anything, and didn’t claim to.
And given that the report says Mr. Martin was Trayvon’s mother, I think it’s safe to assume that his statements, likely very emotional, were not completely accurately transcribed.
Wny don’t you ask your media why they don’t EVER show any pics of martin past the 9th grade...
Perhaps you should ask the Miami Herald why the photo of him in his hoodie was altered to make him lighter skinned.
Or you can remain in the dark. Choice is yours.
Which may proe pointless. As a FReeper pointed out yesterday, the Florida "stand your ground" law explicitly exempts the defender from any civil damages.
