Crows perch on spindly trees. Barren streets and empty swing sets. An antiquated wall clock. A playground carousel spinning slowly with an eerie screech.
The visuals conjure a horror film or the old TV series, "The Twilight Zone."
But the collection of spine-tingling scenes pervades Rick Santorum's new web video trailer about life under the Obama administration.

Actually the video reminds me of the History Channel show “Life after People” which shows the decay that comes after people are gone.
...and the reason the "people are gone" is because they have been herded into "sustainable communities."
I posted the video to Facebook, so all my liberal relatives could see it.
Daniel I'm a life-long conservative, and as of this election, I have completely lost all faith in my party. I am switching teams, because (once I did some true fact-finding and not just believing everything anyone tells me) I find that Obama/Biden have a great track record of success and that this country's economy is actually getting better. Obama/Biden 2012, from a 20-year EX-conservative.
Wire Palladin, S. F. Why is it that right wingnuts are unwilling to accept the fact that Obama stopped the Bush republican near depression, that bin Laden is dead, that GM is alive, that we lost 8 million jobs in Bush's last three years and have gained 4 million jobs in Obama's three years? The stock market has almost doubled under President Obama, and Obama's budget deficit is $977 billion compared to Bush's last one with a deficit of $1.37 trillion. That my wingnuts, is hope and change.
Notice the new meme emerging that the state of the economy is b/c of the "Bush near depression". I am seeing more and more of this. It must be refuted forcefully and the albatross hung firmly on the neck of ObaMao.
The film nails it.
Look at what the democrat policies have done to Detroit. They’ve actually filmed segments of Life after people in Detroit to show the real decay.
I’d love to attend one of your family reunions ;-).
I bet you have a whackjob SIL just like I do.
That’s one hell of a mental disorder.
You’re not kidding. The rest of the comments are even worse.
Evil corporations! Evil corporations! Evil corporations! Evil corporations! Evil corporations! Evil corporations! Evil corporations! Evil corporations! Evil corporations! Evil corporations!
Just ask Richard Nixon how well it worked to enrage the entire MSM world. And that was during a time when the American Left was somewhat subdued, and still in their early Adult life. Now, they ARE the MSM.
This includes Moderates and Independents. The more voters you alienate, or turn off with low class rhetoric the more you like it for some reason.
Come November, our side is going to need every vote we can possibly muster, and it won’t help to energize the enemy with rhetoric like this.
This stupidity will effect all of us in the end.
Wow! Now that’s a hard-hitting commercial.
LOL I remember when Cain ran some stuff that really blew their minds. Let's screw with their brains. The race to vanquish Obama needs a lot more good old fashioned psy-war and Alinsky if you ask me, they need it shoveled back to them three fold.
Wow, this excites me so much more than etch or sketch Romney!
[LOL I remember when Cain ran some stuff that really blew their minds. Let’s screw with their brains.]
LOL?........Wow, I see what you are saying, that really worked well for Cain, didn’t it?
You nailed it!
They are going down, and all the prevaricating of the MSM cannot stop it!
Elections have consequences!
This is a poor rip off of the very good video that Perry produced early in his campaign.
It is good someone like you is monitoring their talking points and narrative, as filled with guano as they are, they need to be grasped, and countered. Forcefully. These people have to be forced so that they have absolutely no single straw to stand on after screwing up the USA after four years.
Very uncivil. Barbara Bush will not be happy. We need abortion for the lower classes after all, otherwise we’d be overrun with all those hillbillies for heavens sake.
If the big O supporters are are enraged then it must be good (truth to a liberal is like holy water to a vampire). I just watched the video and I have have to say I like it.
My hope is that there will be enough political ads like this that will depress the Dem vote on election day.
Politically speaking, anyone who claims to be a “life-long” anything is a flat out liar.
It’s pretty well done. I hope we see lots more like it.
Do you infer his running ads like Mark Block smoking contributed to him withdrawing from the race. I really don't get your logic or the connection. And, PS, would like my above questions answered. (Heck you might even surprise me).
The left must be really hurt about the video.
They just made “Welcome to Santorumville”

:)
Hell, the way this election is going maybe it was the RNC that made the video “Welcome to Santorumville” starring Karl Rove. I can see Karl approving this video.
Daniel

I don’t like it. It has non-existent facts, and is meant to hit at a visceral, emotional level alone. I think it is manipulative and something I would expect of the other side.
Disappointing because Santorum is my candidate at this point.
Awesome video. This is how you hit people hard on TV.
Not buying it. Every election a strange contingent of people show up. They claim they were life long conservatives/Republicans and then boldly proclaim for one reason or another (perhaps false indignation at something a conservative/Republican candidate said or did) that they are refusing to vote Republican, have seen the light, and will give the DemocRAT candidate their votes.
I love the “Shhhhh!” at 00:15.
“We know it’s bad. But don’t talk about it!”
RE: #29, if that’s a lifelong conservative, I’m Peter Pan.
I was one of the first Herman Cain supporters on this forum in the early months of the election. I posted several threads in his honor.
However, the more I learned and saw of Cain, the more I realized that he was not a contender, or a viable candidate, so I switched to Perry. Perry demonstrated similar non contender traits that Cain did. The ability of the MSM to control their popularity was also a factor in why I changed candidates.
As far as your attitude, I could care less what you think, do or say. You must believe that you are of a very high status here, since you take great pride in thinking I would “surprise” you or not, or that everything in my regard, hinges on your final validation.
My opinion is well covered and explained in the above posts. If you are having difficulty finding a “connection” or the logic in what I wrote, the “difficulty” is not mine.
That's a shame. Because Gingrich COULD win a national election.
That comment by Mittens infuriated me more than anything else he's said. Zero is (a) absolutely not a nice guy, and (b) is unfortunately not in over his head. He's accomplishing his goal of destroying the Republic.

google says it is unlisted, so we have to spread the word.
LOL that video doesn’t even make sense. No one would ever accuse Santorum of being gay friendly.
LOL! Actually, we don’t discuss politics much in my family nor at reunions. My parents used to purse their lips and half-smile when I would tell them I was heading down to DC to join up with the FReepers. We do manage to keep things light and civil at reunions.
Look up "Santorum" on urbandictionary.com and it will make sense. It won't be pleasant, but it will make sense.
Santorum was the target of one of the first widespread google bombs, and this is the fallout. It's funny to them because they think everybody understands their *joke*.
Meh, liberals.
That’s my take on it.
The short is supposed to illustrate a hypothetical town after four more years of Øbongo. The problem is that in many respects it is showing the lay of the land as it exists right now. This scenario is long past “what if”.
CNN and their trained monkeys are up in arms because they refuse to admit that this is what they’ve done to our country. In mindless lockstep and blind partisanship the commenters at CNN lash out at everyone and everything....except themselves. They still lamely blame Bush for every ill, even while intoning, “a president can’t singlehandedly control (the price of gas)”. Their president has had three and a half years to show his stuff and the nation is worse off in every respect for it.
Santorum’s video shows the stark truth - and maybe holds back a little. Another round of the Poseur in Chief and we won’t have to wait four years for open warfare in the streets.
FANTASTIC VIDEO!!! We need more like this one. Videos that will make some in the media get right down and chew on the carpet!!!

Agreed. It’s baseless at the basic level. It’s overly emotional — almost a parody. Too much.
Just like Santorum’s candicacy will be. We all know Santorum stands for the right ideas, but the way he articulates them comes off as offensive.
We need Newt. Newt’s gasoline campaign is much more focused, factual, and realistic on an issue that affects all of us.
I made the mistake at the very first Thanksgiving dinner I was invited to at my brother’s house after he got married of getting into it with my SIL. Dyed in the wool MSLSD watcher, whackjob left radio listener.
My brother told me when they got their new car and programmed in their favorite satellite radio stations that she put in her preferences for Left radio. He made sure to put in the “Patriot Radio” right next to it.
Mind you, he’s not particularly ideological - he sees me that way I am sure.
Obama won last time primarily through the votes on the coasts - where Romney is the strongest. Santorum and Newt are great candidates but wouldn't win the general (think sheeple) considering the moderate leaning independents on the coasts.
Not to take them granted but the folks in the conservative middle of the country and south will go Republican. Romney can win in the Democratic strongholds.
I'd prefer a Newt type (without the baggage) but anyone but Obama is the mantra.
So did I, but in truth, it was just to piss them off.
