Stand Your Ground laws must be reviewed: Sen. Chuck SchumerOK, Senator, I guess I can see where you're coming from with that. For the sake of comparison, can you tell us which laws that LIMIT people's rights you've called for a review of? Can you explain in detail, what outcomes justify review of THOSE laws, the ones that DISempower those who pay your salary? Or is it just the laws that return some small fraction of the power taken from them and given to functionaries like you, that need reviewing?

Some people call it shoot first, ask questions later, Schhumer said. Well, sure. SOME people call you a sentient hominid. You can always find someone with almost any opinion you care to cite; you can't use THAT as a gauge of reality.

Two sad things will come out of this case: 1. anti-gun folks will want to get rid of the stand your ground law.
They wanted that anyway. Maximum deprivation of rights is always their goal, regardless of the current score.
2. pro-gun folks (of which I include myself), in defending stand your ground, will feel the need to defend Zimmerman. I think that may be a mistake. I think Zimmerman was actually advancing on the kid, and even the 911 dispatcher told him not to. I just hope that Florida law enforcement takes a closer look at Zimmermans claims.
I don't feel any need to defend him. The only "facts" I have access to are laundered and agenda driven by one side or the other. I'm fully mentally prepared for Zimmerman to turn out to be an asshole (I'm actually sort of leaning that way). Assholes have guns. Even some liberals have them.

Why can't you admit Trayvon was NOT a lil Angel, and is partially responsible for putting himself in this situation? Oh yeah you are blinded by hate, and oblivious to reason.
Hate away. Be aware you cut yourself off from Christ when your heart is full of hate.

Why can’t you admit Zman was an idiot to tail and chase this kid at 3am in a rainstorm?
And as far as Christ is concerned it is not up to you where my heart is at. 1 Samuel 2:3

This happened around 6:30 to 7 pm.
Yesterday’s NY Post published previous 911 calls Zimmerman had made about other kids walking down the street.

Chuckie Schumer is one of the biggest idiots n a world-class collection of big idiots.
Unfortunately the guy in charge of the “Justice” Department is a black racist who was picked by and works for, an even bigger Black Racist.
Nor is Chukie alone in this.
Another anti-constiutional liberal political-media whore, Rothman of New Jersey, is doing this also.

No. He can't. Only those falling for the Leftists media spin can do that.
Or maybe you rather would have had the headlines read, "Hispanic Neighborhood Watch volunteer beaten to death."

Keep your big fat opinions to yourself, Schmuckie. You have no business meddling in Florida's affairs. Instead, let's revisit your despicable behavior during the Waco hearings, shall we?

Schumer has done nothing to help the average citizen of The United States to protect themselves from criminals. In fact he has made more difficult at the national levelSchumer is the symptom. It's the majority of the voters who elected him who are the disease. New Yorkers not only want to cower in fear and lick the jackboots on their necks, they want everyone else in the country to do so too.

Up Chuck continues his diarrhea of the mouth.
The law only prevents an arrest if the police have no reason/evidence to think it was not self defense. So I guess Chuckles would have the police arrest anyone who defends themself, regardless of probable cause to believe they committed a crime. Well he’s against the second amendment, so why not the fourth and fifth as well.

The police did take him into custody. Handcuffs and everything. It's in the video ABC released of Zimmerman arriving at the police station, and a short chuck of time when he was inside it.

I just hope that Florida law enforcement takes a closer look at Zimmermans claims.
The case is being sent to a grand jury.
