Santorum Pronounces Zimmerman Guilty Before Trial, or Charge
Big Government ^ | March 25, 2012 | Joel B. Pollak

Republican presidential contender Sen. Rick Santorum appeared on CBS' Face the Nation this morning and pronounced George Zimmerman guilty of murder in the first degree.

Admitting that he was "not privy to what’s going on in someone’s mind," Santorum nevertheless said that Zimmerman, who shot and killed teenager Trayvon Martin while participating in a neighborhood watch last month, "has a very sick mind who would pursue someone like this." He added that Zimmerman's motive had been "malicious."

The mental state of the alleged perpetrator, the motive, and the question of whether he pursued the alleged victim, are both critical in determining guilt. Santorum's conclusions are consistent with first-degree murder under Florida law....

As you guys know by now, there was a valid and credible police investigation.

1. The scene was taped/roped off.

2. Crime scene investigators processed the scene.

3. Investigators canvassed the neighborhood for witnesses that night, and for several days afterwards.

4. Zimmerman was handcuffed, transported to the police station, and interviewed. His gun was booked into evidence and it has not been returned to him. After being interviewed, he was released.

5. Zimmerman's statement was corroborated by at least one eyewitness. The physical condition of Zimmerman, and the evidence on his clothing and at the scene also corroborated Zimmerman's statement.

6. The results of the police investigation were forwarded to the District Attorney's office. After reviewing the case, the DA declined to file charges.

And in a moment of unbelievable stupidity, Santorum had the gall to go on TV and render both a legal opinion and psychological opinion, neither of which has been proved in a court of law by expert criminal investigators nor experts in psychology.

Santorum is beginning to look like ONE DUMB SON OF A BITCH.

Rick’s evidently feeling the stresses of this long primary season because he sure has been making some ill-advised comments lately.

ah, that’s more like you people, resorting to the personal attacks when the facts are against you. Couldn’t be done any better by the liberals.

You know, for calling Rick out for whining, you Newt people sure do whine a whole hell of a lot. Admit it, it just gets under your skin that primary after primary and caucus after caucus, Rick is blowing your guy out of the water. And you haven’t a clue why. So you blame the “stupid” voters or “socon-only” voters.

Santo keeps yapping away and not thinking fast enough to beat a snail is another good reason for Newt to stay in until the convention starting Aug 27th. That’s a long 5 months away and Santo keeps eating his foot with regularity. He may talk his way back to his 2% of the vote.

Santorum spoke stupidly. That said--Romney has PLENTY of hubris. He has presented himself as the only one, the presumptive candidate from the git-go in 2008. He has used his money to back it up and has been as dishonest as the msm in attacking the other candidates.

Although they all have warts, Newt has the best ideas and is best able to analyse, plan and execute.

I would love to see him rebound.

and also Newt was the first person to say it could be a good case for stand your ground law.. now Jeb Bush says it is not. Newt said we had to wait until all of the facts came out about this case to know. So, tells me Newt was on the only side anyone should be-You are Innocent until proving guilty. The media people called for Zimmerman to be taken out. Bill O really said that Zimmerman was guilty along with other talk show people. Most people have no clue like santos. Santos is toast. My hubby says Rick is an idiot.

Most here have declared Zimmerman innocent without knowing the facts. I don’t know but they better hope the shooting happened where they first encountered each other or Zimmerman will likely be found guilty.

That said, I can oppose the lynch mob without declaring guilt or innocence.

People should be a lot more concerned about why the media isn’t questioning why Obama keeps inserting himself into these issues that really aren’t part of his job.

Lets put it this way, If Obama had said what Rick S said, virtually all the santy supporters would be slamming Obama for it. Obama’s remarks were stupid, and typical Obama, but Santorums’s were beyond the pale, they were the most inane, stupid, idiotic, careless, unethical, and cruel (to zimmerman), remarks that I have very seen from a candidate for prez. Santorum’s idiocy is breathtaking.

The political pile-on could cost Zimmerman his freedom. It’s a serious concern that high profile political personalities are depriving the alleged shooter the presumption of innocence. It’s frankly un-American.

It would be good for Rick’s supporters to lay down some objective criticism instead of trying to persuade the rest of us the man is infallible.

I hope, against all odds, that Sarah will run as a 3rd party conservative candidate. The GOP is finished. Maybe the time is right.

I know, I know....a 3rd party will assure Barry re-election. That said,
I think Barry’s so disliked, even among Democrats, that a third party with someone as wildly popular as Sarah Palin, would win.
