The attorney counseling George Zimmerman, who shot unarmed black teenager Trayvon Martin as he was walking home from the store with a bag of Skittles, says if charges are filed, Zimmerman will argue that he acted in self-defense and that Florida's stand-your-ground law applies.
Attorney Craig Sonner said the public is only hearing part of the story, and when all the facts come out, it will be clear that Zimmerman acted in self defense. A grand jury is scheduled to begin hearing the case April 10.
"George Zimmerman suffered a broken nose, and had an injury to the back of his head, he was attacked by Trayvon Martin on that evening," Sonner said. "This was a case of self defense."

Does anyone have photos of George showing his broken nose and head injuries? The only reason I ask is because for over a week there was NOTHING said about any such thing, and then suddenly those claims arose.

I think the cops said he required no medical attention. If it is not in a paramedic report it is bull.
The ONLY picture they show of the white Zimmerman are from 2005. Nothing recent, not unexpected since he’s in hiding now that there is a bounty on his head from New Black Panthers.
And was he treated at a hospital, there would be medical records unless Obama’s goons got them already.
And did the police take any mugshots even though he was not arrested?
The grand jury is gonna have a lot of questions.

I think it was just buried. This whole thing is a set up (imo). But to answer your question, I have a copy (redacted) of the police report that was written by the responding officer that nite. He didn’t state that his nose ‘was broken’ but instead said it was bleeding and he wrote about seeing blood on the back of his head. He also wrote that there was grass on his back as well as his back being wet.
If anyone has the photos, it will be the police. They handcuffed him and took him to the station for an interview. The police would have taken the photos as part of their investigation.

I’m still confused why anyone thinks the existence/nature Zimmerman’s injuries are relevant to the legal determination in this matter. Based on everything known to this point, the altercation happened after Zimmerman confronted/tried to detain Martin, and after he chased him down after Martin tried to run. At that point, in my professional legal opinion (but nB I am not a Florida lawyer) if Martin had beaten Zimmerman unconscious, or even to death, he would have been within HIS self-defense rights (it’s what I’ve trained MY son to do if he was accosted by a stranger on dark street, but then he’s a 250lb starting nose tackle on his HS team)
Conversely however, the most generous legal interpretation of Zimmerman’s actions would still support a conviction for “mutual affray” You can’t gain the legal right to kill someone in self defense if you are the one who starts the violence.
Zimmerman isn’t someone we should be defending, he’s going to seriously hurt the concealed constitutional carry cause in this country, you just watch (and FL may well repeal “stand your ground” because of this).
By all means let’s point out the liberal’s hypocrisy and over-reaction in this case, but let’s try very hard not to in any way make Zimmerman out to be a better person than he is in the process

Actually, he was treated on the scene by paramedics and from what I understand refused transportation to the hospital. At that time, he was taken to the police station, questioned, gave a statement, had his pistol and clothing confiscated and then released.
Based on eye-witness testimony and physical evidence that collobarated Zimmerman’s testimony, he was released. This was known days after the incident, but did not fit the narrative so it was not widely reported.

You can’t punch me in the nose just because I’m following you in public. You also can’t knock me down and beat me up for following you in public.
I would love to cross swords with you in court. Your reading comprehension and knowledge of the facts is so distorted you could likely be laughed out of court.
Zimmerman lost sight of Martin and was walking back to his truck when Martin knocked him to the ground, kneeled on him and was punching him when shot. There are eye witnesses as well as 911 tapes plus physical evidence supporting it.
If you are really a lawyer, you know very well self defense is an affirmative defense and requires clear and convincing evidence to support it. Nobody who has looked at the facts and evidence has arrested him or charged him in over a month following the incident.
He is innocent until proven guilty, did you forget?

I read the same thing, but can't substantiate it, and those who know are keeping quiet.
However, the shooter has conveniently been morphed into a WHITE EVIL RACIST by the media and the publicity whores of hate and outrage and their names are legion, but they ply their trade under the banner of ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, NY TIMES, WASHINGTON POST and other assorted channels of hate and disinformation.
Mr. Zimmerman may indeed be Innocent. Mr. Zimmerman may indeed be guilty of homicide. It is up to the courts to define what he is guilty of or innocent of. The News media have already convicted him in the court of public opinion.
Still, Trayvon had nonviolent behavioral issues in school, and on the day he was killed, he had been suspended for 10 days from Dr. Michael M. Krop Senior High School in North Miami-Dade.

What does the “bag of Skittles” have to do with anything? Now the Tea, if a glass bottle or can might be important to mention as a possible weapon, but a bag of Skittles?
The only reasons to mention it are to paint pictures of a helpless little kid, just coming home from the store with his little candies, I mean just a baby really, being shot to death by a racist stalker, out for blood.

I think for the most part they’re off playing video games down in their mommies’ basements where they live. I think that this case frightens them as they fear that they too may encounter a neighborhood watch volunteer as they go to and from their skittle buying missions.

Ergo: Martin was running away, and despite the dispatchers instructions Zimmerman gave chase. Lacking any legal right to do so, Zimmerman’s chasing Martin could be charged as assault, forcible detainer, or attempted kidnapping

AT BEST he made a mistake putting himself in a situation he couldn’t handle/wasn’t trained for and as a result somebody ended up dead
