A twitter message, allegedly sent by Trayvon's older brother, suggests Trayvon was suspended for assaulting a bus driver.
Trayvon Martin was on a suspension from school when he was tragically shot last February 26th. His school, Dr. Micheal M. Krop Senoir High School, has not given any details. His family has also evaded the issue. According to the Kansas City Star, the length of the suspension was ten days. This suggests a very serious offense.

The innocent young teen is now known to be a gold-toothed, tattooed young wanna be gangsta known on his Facebook account as NO_LIMIT_NIGGA, who possibly was dealing in drugs. ( I'm not versed in the vernacular, but apparently the phrase 'no limit' has some kind of ties to gangs.)
His suspension for what was reported (at first) to be minor infraction turns out to be because he took a swing at a bus driver and he got sent to Daddy's house because of it.
Trayvon Martin was no saint, he was a punk who decided to tango with the wrong person.
The part that really burns me up is the guy who was just keeping an eye on his neighborhood is getting crucified by the same MSM that have been enabling the 'we're black and you owe us' mindset of Martin and people like him!
Big difference though, between following a guy and attacking him from behind and pummeling him to the ground. One is lawful and the second one is assault...
You really do have a tough time grasping simple concepts, don't you? The "whole bunch of assumptions" are that Zimmerman is an evil white racist gun owner who killed an innocent black child, and it is Bush's fault.

I’ve never said that I know what happened in the final altercation.
What I’m pointing out is that Zimmerman seemed to have a pattern prior to this night.
Other FReepers have posted about neighborhood watch...it doesn’t sound like you are supposed to “patrol” in the fashion Zimmerman had become accustomed to.
Why? Because it could lead to creating a situation that you cannot handle.
He could have just let the kid walk down the road back to the house.
According to published police records, Zimmerman lost the kid. He had no idea where the kid went....until said kid attacked him near his vehicle, got him to the ground and was beating him (as per on the record witness).
If the kid had lost Zimmerman, why not stay away and go home?
I repeat, it's not illegal to follow someone that is out of place in your neighborhood. It is illegal to attack someone when imminent threat to your safety is eliminated (meaning the kid had lost the guy, why go after him and beat him up?)

It may not be illegal, but it’s certainly not very smart.
Neighborhood watch does not tell their members to follow.
The dispatcher did not want him to follow.
Following someone can, in itself, frighten someone.
And then you have to define “out of place”
So Martin was visiting his father’s girlfriend’s house. He wasn’t “out of place” - he was a guest.
But, in Zimmerman’s eyes he most certainly was “out of place”
In the end...did Zimmerman find himself on the losing end of a physical altercation and have to fight back?

Equally important, “stand your ground” doesn’t even really seem to apply in this case because, accoding to all available evidence, Martin had Zimmerman on the ground, beating the living Hell out of him, and Zimmerman’s only choice was to discharge his weapoon or be killed or severely injured. IOW this is a standard self defense case, not a stand your ground one.

So what you’re saying then is it’s OK to turn around and shoot someone who’s following you. They haven’t touched you or gotten near you, they are just following you. And you can shoot them.
Following a stranger in your neighborhood is now a capital offense? So, if I watched a strange car moving real slowly on my street, they can shoot me because I'm "following" them?
Being "stupid" is not a crime and I know of many more FReepers who would have more respect for the law than to actually shoot someone just for following them.

Principals take this action when they have exhausted informal corrective strategies, or when they have at least considered those alternatives and rejected them as inappropriate in a given situation.
Outdoor suspension is appropriate under the following conditions:
• The student’s presence in school presents a physical danger to the student or others;
• A “cooling off” period is needed to relieve tensions and relieve pressure; and/or
• The student and/or parent/guardian refuse an alternative to suspension.
A suspended student has the right to request and obtain make-up assignments for the time he or she was suspended from school. It is the responsibility of the student to request make-up work for assignments missed due a suspension.
A suspended student is entitled to be notified of the reason for suspension and an opportunity to be heard. Parents/Guardians must be provided notice within 24 hours by U.S. mail. “
Everyone, and I mean everyone, needs to take a step back and let this thing play out. I think in the end, Zimmerman will be exhonerated, or not, but that won't diffuse the situation with the racist Black Panthers, Bowbama, Jackson, Sharpton, etc. But, let it play out!

Here’s another cold blooded murder we never heard about, in Sarasota, FL, 2011.

If he really believed Martin was running for the back exit ofthe community, he could have got back to his truck by 7:14, told the dispatcher he would wait for the police response at the lower corner of Twin Trees Lane, driven there where he would of had a clear non-confrontational view of Martin's only routes to the exit.
Of course Martin would "disapper" into the house where he was staying and Zimmerman would look slightly foolish (instead of at a possible 5 to 10 at the Graybar Hotel)

Not sure how you decided what he was thinking, but when Zimmerman was told he didn't need to follow - he was heading back to his SUV when he was jumped from behind by Travon & during the scuffle on the ground, Trayvon tried to take Zimmerman's gun. That's how he got shot in the chest.
Exactly. It's another nail in the coffin of freedom. When one group is protected and treated differently from another, freedom is lost. We already have a system where some groups are more equal than others. If conservatives allow Mr. Zimmerman to be railroaded, we all lose.
We already live in a society where it can be dangerous to say anything a person of color might deem to find offensive. This incident is making that even more dangerous.
Thank you! I think many people would do the same thing if they thought something suspicious was going on in their neighborhood. I’ve stopped a few teens in my neighborhood doing stupid stuff. Maybe there’s something about a small feisty woman that’s intimidating.

Well, at least he was doing his job instead of sitting at Dunkin Donuts. Since the media has reported that Mr. Zimmerman had found it necessary to place 60 calls to police (over a several year period) reveals that
(1) there was a lot of crime going on
(2) Mr. Zimmerman was out there doing his job.
All Mr. Martin had to do was use the cell phone he was talking to his girlfriend on to call the police.
There was a teacher the other day - quoted in some suck up MSM newspaper (reporter too lazy to check truth) that he was suspended for something minor - like being late to class.

I know. I have some very gullible facebook “friends” who are off the rails on this thing. One even suggests that this was “premeditated murder”. Oh really? Based on WHAT? I have tried to interject some objectivity into the conversation- including that Zimmerman is hispanic, but was told because I am a white Christian, I really have no say in it.
But THEY—also white Christians—can convict this man based on the media’s lies and distortions. I left them to their “I am a better Christian because I support the poor black people and believe white gun-owners are basically racists” tripe. UGH.

So very interesting to see the changes in this kid’s face over the years. The early photos of him do show a sweet-looking kid. Somewhere he went wrong. I’ve always wondered what was going on with his parents...

As I said to you on a previous thread, if Zimmerman said anything at all (debatable), he said “goon” not “coon.” Now I could be wrong about this but you don’t know the facts either.
If everything that is being printed is true, Zimmerman read Martin’s body language pretty accurately and decided to follow him in his capacity as a volunteer watch. He may very well have stopped this kid from committing a crime. We don’t know that, of course, but it is a possibility.
