“Was Trayvon on a 10-day suspension from school for assaulting a bus driver? Seems important to me.”

Also, you state as fact Z was attacked by M. Did you see that, were you there? If Z viciously beaten by M, why didn’t he seek medical attention?

That was Zimmerman's statement to the police, and a witness's statement corroborated Z's account. Zimmerman's injuries (broken nose and lacerations to the back of the head) were noted by the police and treated by medics at the scene. He sought further medical treatment the following day.

According to the latest news reports, it was for possession of an empty marijuana baggie. In other words, he smoked a doobie.

Thanks for posting that.
It includes the call (9:27) I was trying to reference yesterday
where Zimmerman says...”I don’t want to approach him personally”

That is an argument for disarming ALL citizens.

Neighborhood watch patrols become target practice for thieves.

The facts no longer matter since the present goal of the politicians and the statewide prosecutor is to arrest at ANY cost regardless of facts.

They have made an arrest in that shooting. By the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force(!), who were after him on an armed robbery fugitive warrant.

Here is his picture, one Mason Perry Jones.

Interesting in that another of their students, who was black, was killed shortly before. So that is one fatality late Saturday and another, early Sunday.

One of those shootings occurred in Starkvegas (Starkville) on the Mississippi State campus. The other shooting occurred in Jackson at an apartment off the Jackson State campus. The two places are like night and day. I mean that racially and economically.

Seems to be coming out now, Z was very likely sucker punched.

Remember this round house sucker punch in this video?

Absolute unprovoked and nearly killed the guy at the counter.

It includes the call (9:27)

The guy was authorized to be there, the owner hired him to do some cleaning.

Be that as it may, it shows in that instance Z wasn’t acting like some wild vigilante.
He was doing what NW is suppose to do, watch and report.
It is a data point at odds with the claims of some that he was a predatory hunter
stalking M with the intent of executing/assassinating him.

Demonstrating the power of the media. My wife (a conservative women) was lead to believe that he was 14 years old.

Reasonable conclusion if you looked at the pictures in the media.

I’m arguing against the practice of non-law-enforcement following people.... Another FReeper pointed out that NW are not supposed to be carrying a loaded weapon.

You're not supposed to follow people thread to thread on FR, and you're not supposed to attack posters. Not suggesting you're doing any of those things, but they do happen, and have pretty much the same status under the law.

IMO Zimmerman acted foolishly following him, likely in exiting the car though we don't know the circumstances. But those acts are as legal as walking down the street with tea and skittles. As is being armed. The issue is how the fight started, which we don't know yet. Other than the lynch mob, progrum formenting elites, which is what the article addresses.

Just this weekend my wife mentioned that it’s been years since we’ve been to the Wisconsin State Fair. Doubt we’ll go. I agree that concealed carry is a necessity, but I can’t imagine going to a State Fair without having a beer or two, so we’ll probably stay home. While I don’t disagree with your position on carry, if I choose, isn’t a shame i can’t safely go to a State Fair unarmed.

No one cares about things like that, crime happens. Old folk, vet, rape, nothing newsworthy.

I wish I had an answer for you. Big country, limited capacity for outrage, and it's media directed. I guess.

I’ve long seen state fairs as bastions of high risk.

For example, chocolate dipped bacon on a habernero chicken fried steak with a Krispy Kreme bun, with deep fried butter on a stick for dessert. You can actually hear your capillaries slam shut as your liver gives off a sound like a boiling teakettle.

Our neighborhood watch calls cops on suspicious characters all the time and they come right out and chat up the potential problem. We and other crime watch groups get a heads up when they are looking for a criminal, too.

We do not go out and follow the guy around the neighborhood, though. Do you do that?

It doesn’t seem to be true that Zimmerman was suspicious of the 7-9 year old black child. The police report shows it was a safety call. An article by Matthew DeLuca of the Daily Beast misreported it, though.

The article actually links to the police reports about Zimmerman’s calls, and it says right in that report that Zimmerman called because the boy was walking alone along a busy street and Zimmerman was concerned for his welfare. The Daily Beast article, though, says that there is no indication in the police report why Zimmerman found the boy suspicious. Since why Zimmerman called is right there in the report, it’s hard to believe that the reporter missed it. I think myself that Zimmerman acted recklessly, and possibly Trayvon thought he was after him, but there also seems to be a rush to judgment going on.

Who knows what crimes happened in Zimmerman’s neighborhood...or not. If he was an insane pest, ie, reporting children walking through the neighborhood for no reason, the cops probably would have busted him for bothering them. Maybe some young unidentified boys did vandalism, theft or something?

At any rate, we really don’t know what is what with any of this. There are so many lies and lying liars involved. A grand jury will most likely get the case because it is political now and send Zimmerman to trial. Then we will find out everything that is covered by the news - which may not be clear and honest, either. We have such slimey reporters and stage actors always manipulating reality. It’s sad to see so many Americans don’t know this.
