Twenty-five journalists with the Gannett media group in Wisconsin signed a petition calling for the recall of Republican Gov. Scott Walker, according to a Green Bay newspaper where some of those journalists work.
Kevin Corrado, publisher of the Green Bay Press-Gazette, disclosed the actions of Gannett Wisconsin Media employees in a recent column and said they are facing disciplinary action.

I feel strongly that you can be a journalist, or an activist, but you can’t be both.
If they choose to be a straight News Man then they obligate themselves to stay out of the action.
Referees don’t play in the game. And Nuns don’t go clubbing. So to speak.
The problem is that our J-Schools are stacked with Liberal instructors and they are intentionally telling their students to “change the world.” Journalism is dead. All news is suspect.
This is an additional column from the editor of the Appleton Wisconsin Gannett newspaper

They will not be fired.
If they signed a petition to recall or impeach Obama, they would be however.
“Wisconsin journalists facing disciplinary action after allegedly signing Walker recall petition... only once...”
Shop rules require at least six signatures per union member!
They no longer teach “who, what, when, where, how and why”.
It used to be “Jim Wilson was killed today on Highway 22 when he lost control of the vehicle he was driving causing it to overturn.”
Today it would be “Jim Wilson, a conservative republican who hates the environment, thankfully was killed today when the big gas guzzling SUV he was driving overturned on Highway 22 as he travelled at a high rate of speed obviously attempting to run a Prius off the road.”

Nailed it! ! believe almost NOTHING the media has to say and Nothing the GOV. says.
Journalism is also known as Leftist propaganda.
Not being critical of your comment, it is just a good jumping of point for mine:
“Why?” is not one of the questions journalists should be asking. Who, what, when, where and how are all objective whereas why is entirely subjective and allows far too much leeway for the journalist to inject an opinion. I believe that why is where journalism got messed uo, and it was because it starts with a w.
What a compliment. Enjoy it.
It was an excellent lesson for me. The stories - then, usually in the newspaper - were mostly wrong, almost all of the time.
Said Mom: "If the "journalist" can't get little things like names, dates, and times correct when they're standing ONSITE, looking directly AT THE INCIDENT, and having information all spoonfed to them by the major principals ..... why would you ever expect them to get anything important correct?"
That was 25-30 years ago, and journalism has been dumbed down from there. Back then, I'd blame most of what I saw on incompetence. Now, the incompetence level is the same or worse, and there's always a political agenda at work, too.
“Journalism is dead”
Understatement of the Century.
Indeed. About ten years ago on this board, there was an article by an editor who said he polled a college Journalism class as to whether they thought their job was to report the news or mould public opinion. He was horrified to find that a good 40% thought the latter. Probably nearer 99% today.
Some years before that, a buddy of mine went fishing with his pal off Long Beach, CA. The boat had just come back from being overhauled and somebody incorrectly hooked up the bait tank pump and water flooded in so fast the guy barely got off. His partner was no so lucky.
He was in the water no longer than 15 minutes when the Coast Guard showed up and pulled him out. The next day a reporter came around and kept trying to blame Reagan for the death. No matter what how many times my buddy told the same story, the reporter kept saying, "So, because Ronald Reagan cut back on funds for the Coast Guard, your friend died." He finally threw the reporter out but that's how the story played.
I screwed up when I included the “why” in the first part. Today they’ve added the “why” and it’s their oppinion.
