Multiple suspensions paint complicated portrait of Trayvon Martin
The Miami Herald ^ | 3/26/12 | Frances Robles

Miami Gardens teenager Trayvon Martin was suspended from school in October in an incident in which he was found in possession of women’s jewelry and a screwdriver that a schools security staffer described as a “burglary tool,” The Miami Herald has learned.

Trayvon, who claimed that an unnamed friend had given him the jewelry, was not disciplined because of the discovery, but was instead suspended for graffiti, according to a Miami-Dade Schools Police report obtained by The Miami Herald.

Why do they keep using that picture of him when he was 12 years old? Why do the news stories still say he was in a gated community?

Propaganda and opinion manipulation. We are being played.

I’m not sure where I read it, but George Zimmerman is reportedly 5’9”. Wherever I read it, I considered it a legitimate source, and it makes more sense to me than 5’3”.

I lived in a town where that was the standard pattern for burglaries. They didn’t take anything big, they’d just swoop in, grab the jewelry or even change off the dresser top, and be on their way.

The article also mentioned that he had a watch in his bag. He sounds to me like a typical “dresser-top burglar.”

She (Travon's mother) is expected to appear Tuesday before House Democrats in Congress in a quest to have Florida’s controversial “Stand Your Ground” law examined.

Didn't take long for the Dems to choose the next Sandra Fluke.

I read 5’3” in the article I read.

Media reports have been all over the place with lots of mistakes (which is a huge part of the problem) so 5’9” is just as likely.

Still 6’3” vs 5’9” is still a significant mismatch in a fight.

Perhaps because he was found with burglary tools and jewelry, and busted for graffiti.

Couldn’t possibly be because he couldn’t maintain a GPA to play, because we all know these kids are honor students turning their lives around.

Yup, ol’ “bean poles” can pack a heck of a punch and can hurt you real bad with only a few punches.

Media attempts to characterize Martin as a “helpless” little 6'3” 160 lb waif (with a picture taken at 13 years old) really pegged my BS- O - Meter so hard it bent the needle.

I spent more than a few years working with inner city ghetto kids in a notoriously violent school system and I can vouch for the physical damage a 17 year old gang banger can mete out.

A whole lot of people have been sent to the hospital and to the graveyard by 17 year old gang banger bean poles and that's a fact.

its interesting that only 1 family in an area can cause a crime wave....Even in the country, but sorry to say the kid tried to play chicken with a car and lost...b & e went down drastically. The boy was buried 3 days later....

Hint to people when a family member dies...don't put the day of the funeral in the paper...thats a signal to some that the house is empty. Happened to a neighbor on the farm. When my hubby died on the farm, a neighbor came over to house sit....the b & e took all the guys guns.

Oh, and by the way , Jack Dempsey started his boxing career when he was about 17-18 and weighed about 150-160 lbs - just about the same stats as Martin.

At that age and weight, Dempsey literally took apart full grown adult men who were trained, professional fighters.

So much for the whole “harmless little child bean pole” meme the media is trying to shove down our throats.

The crap that is acceptable in the black community dismays me to no end.

After they reelected a convicted crackhead for Mayor of D.C. some years ago. Nothing surprises. Marion Berry I believe it was.

D.C. was once the center of a great government, historic where the founders walked and created the greatest country on the planet.

Unfortunately, the pendulum swung from honor to dishonor, it's been subverted and compromised by decadent liars and corrupted frauds. It's become unrecognizable from the neighborhoods to the rotunda and up into the Oval Office.

The lies and glaring propaganda on a national level, generated by events such as this, reveal the disturbing state of affairs. A once united people, are now clearly divided. None of this happen by mistake, but by design.

Very interesting. The more that comes out, the more I think that the primary reason that the cops did not arrest Zimmerman was that they knew a lot about Martin. Why didn't the cops release more info about Martin's history? Possibly because, under Florida law, they can't because Martin was a juvenile.

It appears that, under Florida Juvenile Law, juvenile criminal history is confidential.

Juvenile offender records traditionally have been treated differently from other records in the criminal justice system and, with certain exceptions, have been considered confidential. Section 985.04(1), Florida Statutes, provides:

"Except as provided in subsections (2), (3), (6), and (7) and s. 943.053, all information obtained under this chapter in the discharge of official duty by any judge, any employee of the court, any authorized agent of the department, the Parole Commission, the Department of Corrections, the juvenile justice circuit boards, any law enforcement agent, or any licensed professional or licensed community agency representative participating in the assessment or treatment of a juvenile is confidential and may be disclosed only to the authorized personnel of the court, the department and its designees, the Department of Corrections, the Parole Commission, law enforcement agents, school superintendents and their designees, any licensed professional or licensed community agency representative participating in the assessment or treatment of a juvenile, and others entitled under this chapter to receive that information, or upon order of the court. . . ."[1]

The Left has a new crop of young people with no memory of the games they played in the 60’s and 70’s to make asses of again.

They will play on their good will and well instilled fear of being named “racists” until the young ones realize they are being emotionally manipulated by liars and theives.

I wonder how many young people even know what these witch-hunting fascists did to the Lax players at Duke.

Yup, ol’ Hit Man had an amateur record of something like 160 wins to 8 losses before he turned pro, kicking butt on a lot of much older, more experienced boxers.

He turned pro in 1977 at the age of 18 or 19.

But we all know a 17 year old 6'3”, 160 lb bean pole is just a baby who could never hurt a fly because the media is shouting that fact out to us at every chance they get

Those were MODIFIED. This was reported as just an ordinary flat bladed screw driver.

Look, almost anything can be described as a burglary tool. You can pick locks with bobby pins. You can even listen to tumblers in an old fashioned combination lock using a RED SOLO CUP ~ (might talk to Toby Keith regarding other uses ~ he knows).

A lot of this is like the nutso stuff MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) did when they got the cops to count as 'alcohol related' every accident where there was so much as an empty beer can in a trunk.

Public school officials aren't much behind that with their zero tolerance policies.

You do nothing whatsoever to maintain public support for "stand your ground" laws and the Second Amendment by allowing public officials to describe screw drivers as burglary tools, aspirins as imitation narcotics, or cupcakes as "prohibited contraband". In fact, all that happens is you end up encouraging the extension of the Fascist state into more and more private territory.

And that would be reported by the same lamestream media that ignored the eyewitness, the suspensions, and everything else.

I am a certified Martial arts instructor that used to teach the police cadets and various agencies over the years. screwdrivers modified or unmodified can be used as burglary tools or weapons. stop being naive. The Media has it's agenda and will not publish anything that varies from that.

It's the context not the item which gives it away as a burglary tool. It's a reasonable assumption to call a screwdriver a burglary tool when it is found in the same container as diamond rings, assorted jewelry and a watch that do not belong to the "owner" of the container, most particularly when the owner of said container has no reasonable explanation for having such expensive and non-teenage items on school grounds other than to claim a friend whom he will not name "gave" him diamond rings and such.

Not to mention there isn't much reason for someone attending classes to need a LARGE flathead screwdriver in a backpack containing someone else's jewelry when most of what has screws in it around school are calculators with tiny Phillips head screws.

You'd make a better case if it was his jewelry and it was a jeweler's screwdriver, at least that would be reasonable. Even if it were his jewelry and any kind of screwdriver. It all comes down to his possession of property that was not his.
